I actually want to be able to export it to Navigraph charts do I can display the flightplan on the moving map. I know I can also create it in Simbrief and import it to MSFS and Navigraph, but I want to see what I end up with using both methods. September 11, 20205 yr I don't think it's in the community or packages folder by default. I think default is in users\username\Appdata\Microsoft flight Simulator\ or something similar (I'm at work right now and can't check). But, you can save them anywhere you want by browsing to the folder you want when saving. James

I haven't tried saving one yet, because I didn't realize that they weren't automatically saved when I created them. September 11, 20205 yr When you go to save it should show you the default path, at least it does when saving a flight.
September 11, 20205 yr Only problem is that all the files in the MSF directories (including LocalState and Community) gets encrypted and you can not even copy files you created yourself from these directories. Very frustrating as I want to keep backups of some of my files. Has anyone found a way around this or is it something I did wrong during installation. Johan Pienaar
September 11, 20205 yr pinepix, can you not take ownership of those folders? https://www.maketecheasier.com/access-windowsapps-folder-windows-10/ Edited September 11, 20205 yr by Phantoms James

January 19, 20215 yr I've saved my downloaded flight plans into my 'Community' folder but as yet MSFS hasn't shown them when I look in load / saved, any idea's why not.
January 21, 20215 yr Community folder is for mods, not flight plans. I have the Steam version of the game and by default, the flightplans are stored at C:\Users\xxxxx\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft Flight Simulator. I changed it in the past as you can tell the World Map flightplanner where to load from or save from, but went back to using the default location as that way I don't have to tell MS every time I load or save a flight plan. The external map and flight planning program I use is FS-FlightControl. I just set that to use the same directory for flight plans in it's settings. If your external flight planning software doesn't allow you to set a path to the default MSFS flight plan location, you could always just make a windows shortcut to that folder. James
