Well the leverage is there you can pull it when needed, For example if fly through icing and static port get clogged you may want to try your luck with alternate static source

No this is generic chart that apply to all "steam gauges" aircraft including Mooney. That what we teach every student especially when they are getting their instrument rating

Almost bought this except I get a Purchased Failed notification.  I saw the thread on here about installing the xbox beta app and rebooting.  No luck after that.

It sounds like its something to do with my account as the admin.  I'm not willing to change that though...  so maybe MS can fix their store.

What worked for me was a tip I saw that said to start the sim 'not' as Administrator. 😜

Just to be clear.  I was a CFI/CFII, Ground Instructor, Advanced Ground Instructor, and Instrument Ground Instructor.  I know how the static system works.

What I am having trouble catching on to today is what you are discussing.  Is it this Carenado Mooney's lack of a functional Alternate Static Source.  I have written a lot of reviews over the years of many Carenado products and I just don't remember this being one of the working items in any of their planes.  It might be a little ambitious to expect a $29 sim model.

Yes, I see the placard on the panel, but, I didn't read anything anyplace that said it was a working system.

Some of the backdoor coding guys might be able to make something work in the future, if we can get to the files.

New Glitch. I am flying the Mooney in Japan using the new patch - 1.9.3.0 and I have a "put you to sleep, wing rock" This is with the AP on in the HDG mode, no flight plan, nothing to do with a NAV track.  Just plain old HDG and it has not stopped rocking for an hour. duh.

That is why in my original post marked "bugs and wishlist" LOL Animation of jumping VSI arrow would be nice. I don't expect Carendo to implement whole pito-static system

Sorry you were confusing me when you started asking all those questions! Perhaps I wasn't clear when I describe it  in my list.

I actually looked at the exe and the box is NOT checked to run as Admin.  I'm out of ideas!

Even doing it that way, sometimes I had to do it two or three times.  I hope that it starts working for you.  I'm really enjoying this sim but it is frustrating at times for sure.  😉

Ray-

I could only stand it for 30 seconds. Fortunately it hand flies quite acceptably.

Still hoping for a Carenado update soon, especially now that the patch has dropped.

Obviously, this Sim is a work in progress, and will be for a long time to come; so I hope that with this Sim Carenado patches frequently and comprehensively.

Ya we need a patch from Carenado for this and the 182 needs a second patch

Yep noticed it right off after the patch.....and on that same note....it seems to hold the Nav track better now....go figure!

Hope a patch is soon...I can't fly long without the AP heading.....yep...I'm a bad pilot 🙂
