Carenado M20 Ovation

It is a superb plane, and the external liveries are great.  If Carenado fix the few issues that have been raised, it will be a corker!

So, as Bert mentioned, plus:-

1.  The main one is the trim sensitivity.  It is widely regarded as being way over sensitive and can be difficult to trim out.  I have to partially trim it on the throttle as I have finer control over that.

I'm with you on that. While I have never flown "R" model I did fly in "J" exclusively from the right seat. Elevator trim in "J" model was very slow on response comparing with similar class of aircraft like Bonanza or Arrow. In addition. the trim wheel significantly smaller in size compared with former.

I hope among other issue Carenado fixe this one

Look between the avionics stack and copilot yoke. You'll see two rotatable knobs for panel lighting (lower part of panel).

Great thanks tamsini. Incidentally my original should have read I agree with 1 and 3 but haven't experienced number 2.

Great!!! The nice thing is that if you get the post right, the image also shows nicely in email notifications 🙂

On top of each yoke is a small rheostat.  Turn clockwise to turn on the ceiling lights that shine down on each seat.  These do not light up the External Light switch panel with the 6 switches in the forward overhead.

Enjoying a night flight with her now....the more I fly her, the more I like her!

The night lighting on the panel is outstanding....and in a dark room at night...the mood and immersion goes up by a factor of 10!   Heading from Key West back to Tampa to be virtually with my wife who's there with her Mom...away from me in Dallas. 😞

As far as I'm concerned I've already gotten my $29 worth of entertainment out of her. 🙂

Speaking of the flashlight...it's handy inside and outside!  I just flew through a cloud that felt wet....used the flashlight to check for ice! 🙂

As for point number 3, well, I'm wondering if that will ever be addressed or will it take something like F1 GTN etc..

RXP GTN for me.  But I would settle for an RXP GNS 530 in this one.

Well, we were waiting for an update, we now have an update, but, the Mooney was not included.  Anyone heard any rumors about a fix from someone?

When Pigs Fly . Ray Marshall .

Almost bought this except I get a Purchased Failed notification.  I saw the thread on here about installing the xbox beta app and rebooting.  No luck after that.

It sounds like its something to do with my account as the admin.  I'm not willing to change that though...  so maybe MS can fix their store.

@raymar

Ray- the Mooney update should come from Carenado through the MSFSMP nicht?  Hoped that it would appear right after the patch, but maybe they are digesting first...

Here is my list of bugs and wishes in M20R as of right now

1. AP NAV

2. Rudder trim indicator reversed with default rudder trim binding

3. Lack of documentation for fuel totalizer

4. Elevator trim too sensitive

5. Lack of documentation for power lite switches

6. Missing in game checklist

7. It would be nice to add "breathing mask sound" when oxygen is ON

8. When ALT source is ON , VSI gauges  should show instantaneous climb
