Thank you for your very quick replies. Sorry, I remember now the last time I tried to use this programme I kept forgetting to start as administrator and that was the problem this time as well. I wish there was a way for it to remember to always run as administrator. December 6, 20205 yr Another oddity since last version. Here you can see that the folder "Fall" remains red after being checked AND doesn't appear in the Community folder. Hope it helps and a warm thanks, again and again, for your brilliant work.👍 Edited December 6, 20205 yr by David Roch - PC Hardware: AMD Ryzen 9 9950X3D // Asus ROG Crosshair X870E HERO // 2x32Gb Corsair Dominator Titanium DDR5 6000MT/s CL30 // ASUS ROG Strix GeForce RTX 4090 OC Edition // 4Tb Corsair NVMe M.2 MP600 // Corsair 1600W PSU Samsung Odyssey Arc 55" curved 165 Hz monitor. - Simulator Hardware: VIRPIL Constellation Alpha Prime + VIRPIL VPC Universal Control Panel - #3 + MOZA AY210 Force Feedback Yoke + WINWING URSA MINOR 32 Throttle & PAC Metal + WINWING SKYWALKER Metal Rudder Pedals + WINWING Airbus FCU & EFIS + WINWING Boeing 3N PAP + WINWING MCDU-32 + WINWING PFP-4 + WINWING PFP 3-N + WINWING PFP-7.
December 6, 20205 yr Author @Espana Pete thanks for the feedback, normally the program should warn you if it's not started in admin mode (unless you checked the 'disable run as admin warning' in the options screen.). @sal9000 weird, looks like BD is suddenly not liking MSFS tools !! 👀 .. now, for info, some tools (even free) add compression/encryption/security layers to prevent 'pirating' .. sometimes that can cause AV to find them malicious, but my tool for example does nothing of that. @David Roch oops did not notice your message, will read it now Edited December 6, 20205 yr by Bad_T
December 6, 20205 yr Author @David Roch ... it's strange, i just tried the mod and all seem ok on my end so it's not specific to the mod. Can you maybe enable temporarly the log in the options screen (2nd tab), then restart the app, try to create that link. If it fails it should write something in the c:\programdata\msfs addons linker\log.txt file. Can you check if there's something in there and, if yes, please send it to me. I assume that if you create links for other addons it works ? (if all fail it's probably that 'admin' right thing again). if nothing appears in the log, i might need to send you a special debug version to try to find out what's happening, let me know thank you.. December 6, 20205 yr Yes, it was the old "admin right" thing again! 😄 Thanks, working like a charm now! - PC Hardware: AMD Ryzen 9 9950X3D // Asus ROG Crosshair X870E HERO // 2x32Gb Corsair Dominator Titanium DDR5 6000MT/s CL30 // ASUS ROG Strix GeForce RTX 4090 OC Edition // 4Tb Corsair NVMe M.2 MP600 // Corsair 1600W PSU Samsung Odyssey Arc 55" curved 165 Hz monitor. - Simulator Hardware: VIRPIL Constellation Alpha Prime + VIRPIL VPC Universal Control Panel - #3 + MOZA AY210 Force Feedback Yoke + WINWING URSA MINOR 32 Throttle & PAC Metal + WINWING SKYWALKER Metal Rudder Pedals + WINWING Airbus FCU & EFIS + WINWING Boeing 3N PAP + WINWING MCDU-32 + WINWING PFP-4 + WINWING PFP 3-N + WINWING PFP-7.
December 6, 20205 yr Author oh hehe cool, thanks for the feedback 👍 ... probably when you update to a new version, the EXE is different and the setting 'run as admin' is lost in Windows so you have to set it again. If you had checked the 'disable run as warning warning' in the options screen you are not warned of that possible problem. Maybe i should remove that option to avoid possible problems. ** edit .. btw if you had enabled the log, disable it so that it doesn't slow things down ** Edited December 6, 20205 yr by Bad_T
December 6, 20205 yr Sorry I can't search this entire thread so apologies if already covered but I'm not gonna wade through 25 pages! Firstly many thanks for this tool it looks like it can be excellent, but: I've setup the options as per the directions, I have my Apps ticked in the left Addons Screen but they remain Red (dot) and I cannot figure out how to "Activate" them. The readme file says "just click on the checkbox to activate/deactivate addons", I've done that but nothing happens. I have MSF installed via Steam and my community folder is here: C:\Users\marcg\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft Flight Simulator\Packages\Community I've Right-Clicked and selected Enable All Addons but still nothing happens. Is it a problem with Permissions/Sharing or something? Any help greatly appreciated 🙂 Thanks Edited December 6, 20205 yr by MarcG Pico Neo3 Link VR - Windows 11 64bit, Gigabyte Z590 Aorus Elite Mobo, i7-10700KF CPU, Gigabyte RX 9070 XT OC 16gb (AMD GPU), 32gig Corsair 3600mhz RAM, SSD x2 + M.2 SSD 1tb x1 Saitek X45 HOTAS - Saitek Pro Rudder Pedals - Logitech Flight Yoke - Homemade 3 Button & 8-directional Joystick Box, SNES Controller (used as a Button Box - Additional USB Numpad (used as a Button Box)
December 6, 20205 yr Author @MarcG, please try to enable the log in the options screen like explained a 3 or 4 posts up. Make sure you run the tool as admin if you didn't already as this is the most common cause of non working links. Send me then the result of the log. thank you. also please try with only 1 addon first just to make sure the simpliest case works. Edited December 6, 20205 yr by Bad_T

December 6, 20205 yr Author ah yeah doing it in the shortcut (and not on the exe) might help keeping the setting forever even when you update to a new EXE, thank you @peroni
