May 12, 20215 yr I did all those steps. I see my scenery folders has several subfolders. I wonder if this is how ORBX install scenery or I link just the last folder in the root folder or all of them. This is how other people have it: This is what I have: Do I have to keep all folders created by the installer like this one: or I can use only the last root folder: I9-13900K | ASUS ROG Strix Z790-E Gaming LGA 1700 | MSI Gaming GeForce RTX 4090 24GB | CORSAIR iCUE H150i ELITE LCD Liquid Cooler | CORSAIR DOMINATOR PLATINUM 64GB (2X36) 5200MHx DDR5 | Thermaltake GF3 1650W 80+ Gold PSU | Samsung QN90C Neo QLED TV 50”

June 27, 20214 yr Author hello @MarcG yes it's possible but i think you should only go that way if you are very confident on how the tool works. Try also with a single addon first so you can see if it works for you, then if ok you can start moving other addons as you see fit. There are some indications on page 27 in this thread , it tells you how to manage addons in the official folder with the tool with an example --> https://www.avsim.com/forums/topic/586454-another-tool-to-organize-your-msfs-addons-easily/?do=findComment&comment=4445883 At the top of the following page (28) you can also see a pic by @Denwagg showing some of his addons managed this way. The thing to be aware of is that if you do that and the link is not active, the content manager will tell you the mod is missing and that it needs to be redownloaded, this is normal but it's important that you understand why. Let me know if it's not clear enough and if you need more help with that 🍻
December 12, 20214 yr Author Hello, looking for a bit of help, i was wondering if some of you who have thousands 😱 of addons can give me some indications about how much times it take for the tool to load. (i mean the loading and refreshing it takes for Addons Linker to load, not the loading time of the sim) One user told me it was taking almost 5 minutes for him with 1.3TB of addons 😱😱(which would make the tool completely unusable for me), Have some of you experienced the same kind of very long loading (and refresh) times with lots of addons ? Since the beginning i have never really had more than 200-300 addons folders so my knowledge about huge amount of data is a bit limited. Thank you 🍻 Note : the first load is probably a bit longer than successive ones because Windows optimises some stuff in the background, but a good test would be to start the tool and then click on the refresh button available over the 'addons' panel. in the options screen you can also check 'disable file stats' it should improve a bit the loading time (it won't show the size and last update date for each folders), you can enable that on demand or go into the grid view to see that data, but in the main view you probably don't need to always have that data to be shown.
