Pretty sure that is what all these scenery addons in 2D cities do. Fix the iconic buildings like football stadiums, major bridges, landmarks and leave leave the average joe's house in a suburban street to autogen.

Look at the marina in the last shot, the boats and the houses. Looks flat like someone pounded them with a hammer. I personally don‘t think that the ortho is dull and washed out. It might not be as detailed as in photogrammetry areas but if you don’t fly at 100ft kamikaze style it looks very good (certainly better than the default). As for the marina, I‘ve seen some marinas with 3d boats, but yes, apparently they didn’t model all of them. I personally think it‘s a vast improvement over the default (and also much better than the London landmarks) and one of the best looking addons I’ve seen. i9-11900K, RTX 4090, 32 GB ram, Honeycomb Alpha and Bravo, TCA Airbus sidestick and quadrant, Reverb G2

October 10, 20205 yr but for the Bridge are there other improvements that is noticeable? I got it and flew around it... not sure what else was added. If there is a freeware for that bridge, it would be sufficient unless if you are from Sydney. I suspect. Some of the big cities, the default is so good. It make it hard to improve on them. But the price is reasonable so its good to buy the addoin IMO. We need Fly Tampa YSSY for sure now. The airport looks like mud.. Edited October 10, 20205 yr by Manny Manny Beta tester for SIMStarter

Yes, e.g. all the highrises were completely redone, improved aerial imagery, replacement of thousands of smaller buildings and much more (see link below). But yes, if you‘re not familiar with the place it might not make such a big difference. All in all the default is pretty good. https://orbxdirect.com/product/cityscapesydney-msfs i9-11900K, RTX 4090, 32 GB ram, Honeycomb Alpha and Bravo, TCA Airbus sidestick and quadrant, Reverb G2
October 10, 20205 yr Someone has thrown up a YouTube flyover. They are not Australian so do not expect too much commentary about what is accurate etc, but it gives a good overview of both day and night city scenery. Edited October 10, 20205 yr by Glenn Fitzpatrick
October 10, 20205 yr bought it yesterday, and imo its good value. Hopefully though in future (assuming now its a SDK thing) we will see more dynamic add-ons - static boats is a little bit disappointing. October 10, 20205 yr But does the SDK allow moving boats ? that would be the limitation. Those ferries dont seem to be going anywhere! Otherwise this scenery is a great improvement. - although in terms of numbers the vast majority of structures are autogen Orbx has customized the algorithm and modeling to be more accurate, it certainly just looks better. -my only quibble would be that the generation of cliffs is still problematic. There seems to be a threshhold at which cliff generation is impossible, instead you just get a smooth gradient. This is especially apparent along the coastal walk. Again is this an SDK limitation ?
October 10, 20205 yr In the YT video Luna says that it's the best scenery he has ever seen in a simulator. He needs to check out FlyTampa's KLAS & Las Vegas scenery. That's the best scenery I've ever seen in a simulator. MSFS
