October 11, 20205 yr I know it should have been $19.99 but I paid full price and am having fun in it. Can't do long flights due to lack of GPS but still fun. Sure the panel needs a little cosmetic work but I'm getting my money's worth.

October 11, 20205 yr Yeah, I figured as much - just thought it sounded funny 🙂 - nice pics, by the way!

Certainly part of it is projected dislikes from the poor experiences people have had with Black Box Simulations and indeed their incarnation prior to that, so not really specific to the Bird Dog itself. Then you've got the fact that it is maybe a little bit over the odds price-wise considering it is a port-over rather than a 'from scratch' model. Having said that, it is actually the first payware add-on aeroplane for MSFS which offers more than one base model, and it is also the first seaplane for the sim, so it's not like it doesn't offer much. The downside of that however, is that it is yet another high wing prop bush plane, and we've already got a fair few of those, so it's really only the fact that it has a seaplane variant which makes anything unique about it. Personally, I would buy it just for the seaplane option if it was a bit less price-wise, but 24 quid for what is essentially an aeroplane which I've already got lots of ones very similar to it, merely for the floats, is not a great deal. 15 quid would be nearer the mark price-wise if you ask me, and I'm basing that off a similar purchase I made for P3D, this being the Scansim Piper PA28-140 Cherokee, which is less than 12 quid at Simmarket. That is a GA aeroplane I bought merely because it had a floatplane version, since I already had plenty of payware PA-28s, and for a bit over ten quid, it was worth having. October 11, 20205 yr I still think they should have a Introductory Sale for the Bird Dog for us folks that didn’t experience the 7-year Airbus delay. 50% off would be a good target. I would buy it. Ray When Pigs Fly . Ray Marshall .

How sad is it that he doesn't even pay attention to his "own house"? Not going to do anything in the MSFS forum he only seems to respond in to drop a hint that there is a bull in his china shop....causing mayhem🤣 Let's see how long my posts last over there before he notices....a perfect social experiment and undeniable proof regarding his attentiveness to his own house. October 11, 20205 yr How does it feel landing and taking off from water? Is it more natural than in FSX/P3D? Regarding navigation, I use Plan-G on a 2nd monitor. A very nice tool, it's currently in alpha for FS2020 but works 100% for me. You can use it for VFR or radio navigation as well. I imagine one could have a naviation app on an iPad while flying such a plane, so I don't feel like it's cheating or anything. Very helpful. Sadly Mark....the only way I think that your post will get attention is if he notices you thanking me for my desperate attempt to get his attention...you know....in his OWN forums! Then of course you'll probably be labeled a co-conspirator in my plot to bring his "2 man" company down and putting him and his family in the poor house because, as their own mod reminded us: "What you seem to forget is that BBS is a team of TWO people, not a plethora of developers who's full time job is to work on aircraft one after each other, these are real people, with jobs and families to look after, as well as satisfy the flight sim community." And I of course had to remind him that they are not a bunch of freeware devs doing this on weekends and after "work". This IS THEIR WORK. Its THEIR BUSINESS. They demand money for products offered....the very definition of a business. In fact, if there is any doubt....one just needs to look on their home page: Not much denying they are a commercial entity with that slapped on the front page eh?
