Regarding navigation, I use Plan-G on a 2nd monitor. A very nice tool, it's currently in alpha for FS2020 but works 100% for me. You can use it for VFR or radio navigation as well. I imagine one could have a naviation app on an iPad while flying such a plane, so I don't feel like it's cheating or anything. Very helpful.

It feels ok landing and taking off from water.  It could be a little better im sure Asobo will improve water performance in the future.

Yeah wakes are broken in the sim.

Unless BBS designs his own .fx file for the wakes (not a bad idea actually if it's as easy as it was in previous sims), this is what the wake's gonna look like on all planes that hit the water and supposed to be there, hehe (I hit the water sometimes but not in a plane designed to....just a bad pilot) 🤣

Indeed not! 

As such BBS needs to be run as a business, or shut down as a business. Not that I want them to shut down. No, what I mean by that is the owners should go to whatever the equivalent of Companies House is in Malta and officially close the business if they are in such difficulties.

ANY owner of a company or business will no doubt have family - even if they are single, they may have relatives which they love and care for. As such, life itself can and will get in the way of running a business, but there are more professional ways of dealing with those situations.

Even if one hires "a plethora of full time coders or developers" every one of them is a real person and will have family of some kind and the possibility of problems therein. However, at least an increase in numbers should provide coverage for family eventualities. Therefore more, better product out the door and more profit.

As Sleepy Joe might say, "C'mon, Man!" C'mon Graham, some of us who have a vested interest still like the product(s). 🍻

The hate was not because of the aircraft, but because when people complained about it's faults in v1.0, the DEV told those people were not real simmers, that they cared about non important things, and they didn't apreciate the Flight model.

Now with the fixes I'm very tempted of getting it, but seeing the FSX/P3D version is 20€ and this one is 25€, I think I'm gonna hold my wallet and wait for a cockpit redesing to justify the price increase.

It's just like with any other smaller business. 

You have to work hard to deliver your products and services right and at a desired standard, and then treat your customers right.  If not, well then we all know what happens!..

Hey Mark....this is one of the saddest aspects of the whole affair.  I'll have to locate the post in his abandoned forum later, but I'll just paraphrase here since the exact words are irrelevant as most of words out of his mouth are a spin on one lie or another.

Concerning the lack of either progress or communication to his customers about progress on v .90 of his Airbus "Prolouge"...it goes something like this:

Antony (his son) is hard at work coding the thousands of pages of code it takes to program a complex aircraft like the Airbus (side note: He's only talking about the standard 'buss'es in this spin...his forum mod, later on, just popped screens of the NEO line into the .90 post when someone asked for pics (of the cockpit and enhancement v .90 is supposed to bring)...like news of them creating MORE unfinished planes was somehow appealing to those in the thread who have been literally waiting YEARs from the version number to mover from .87 to .90). Anyway....relevant to the spin because it notes that Graham is the "Modeler", and while he's sitting idly by, waiting for his poor son to finish the code, he's got loads of time to create little projects like the BirdDog, Bulldog, etc.  And in biggest slap in the face, ....EDIT: Wait...found the post (which ANYONE here can since his abandonded forums are wide open)....will just let you view it in case anyone thinks I'm reading (and spinning) anything into it:

Last line.  "Good for business".  "Adds to BBS profits allowing more work to go into the Bus's"   

Anyone believe that the "profits" are actually going back into the company, hiring more coders to push the Airbus dot number 3 hundredths of a point? (From the current .87 to .v90)....in progress for over 2 years now?  One would think if it was really happening, He'd want to announce it on his deserted forums, the MSFS forum and his Facebook page so everyone would be a little more confident that they are going to eventually see a "finished" product, Like the v 1.0 of his Birddog for MSFS2020?  (1.0 generally means you're done fixing everything major before release, and you've at least checked to see if you modeled the switches upside down before unleashing into a Commercial Market for $29US)  Mic drop.

This should be eye-opening facts for anyone new to simming or the long history of BBS.....nothing but facts and the truth here...quoted directly from the owner of BBS himself.

Consider it a Public Service announcement for those new to our community.  Do I have an agenda?  You bet I do.  I want everyone to be aware of this company's history, regardless of how "nice" the shiny new Birddog is, after 3 quick updates to fix stuff that never should have made it to 1.0.   I actually like the bird, but not buying it until I at least hear an update from the BBS owner as to how the profits from all these sales are being put back into the business to help poor Antony finish the Airbus coding to bring it to .90 (after over 2 years)...heck....don't even care if they ever get to 1.0 if all the enhancements they've promised in .90 ever come to my Airbus A340. 🙂

 

 

That .gltf trick was really pitiful, he really expected nobody was goind to realize it ?

I guess each time he writes something like that in the forum he ends losing several customers because of the answers he gets ... it's only logical.

Yup, that's pretty funny. I guess people not familiar with the fact that you can export to that format, plus many other formats from the same 3D model might be fooled by it, but nobody with any 3D modeling experience is gonna buy that load of tosh. It is precisely the reason why they've been able to get it out of the door so quickly.

I thought that saddest part of that entire statement was not even the blatant elitist attitude he takes, eliminating poor simmers like @Chock who've only been simming for decades from his playground click called the "educated observer team"....it was the fact that he thinks that touting that his shiny new BirdDog's interior is a native, made from scratch model in MSFS......THAT HE's defending as something to be proud of and worth $29US!

Quite literally....proud of this: (V 1.0 of course....but shouldn't that be where the evaluation starts?...actually this is v 1.1....it just mainly fixed issues that prevented folks from flying the plane)

Mr. Waterfield.  I have been calling you out.....in your own BBS forums, since this weekend.   Neither you nor your 2 forum mods you hired to monitor the forums have responded to my challenges.  I'm growing weary and bored of your complete lack of participation in your own forums that should be the place ALL your customers go for support for ALL the aircraft you sell.

Please take this as a serious attempt to get your attention.  I refuse to offer this attempt to communicate with you through the MSFS forums, as your demonstrated behavior there has been less than exemplary and I have no intention of putting up with your snide and reprehensible behavior that cannot be denied there.

Mr. Waterfield ....Get your own house in order before you jump into the MSFS market with both feet....at least, if nothing else, respond to your new MSFS Birddog customers in your own forum, where most, even the most "non-educated" simmer would expect to get support for your products....dontcha' think? 

If you don't participate in the Avsim forums, maybe word will eventually get to you to see what your existing Airbus customers think about your venture into the MSFS arena.  Anyone accusing me of not giving him the chance to defend himself as I didn't reply to the MSFS forum where he's active...think about it for a minute....should I have to?   I responded in his official forums, shouldn't that be enough, and the whole point of this?

Let's hope that we all see this Dev suck it up and do the right thing vs assigning blame to non-educated observers like @Chock for issues brought on by himself. 🙂
