While this seemed like a great idea when I tested it quickly with the key already at "Both", it turns out that this isn't really a good solution: when I set the control to repeat, as soon as I press the switch, the key will turn in one swift movement from "Off" to "Start". That's not what I want. I'll just use the mouse for the time being, and the alternate engine.cfg when Rob releases v3.

November 3, 20205 yr Anyone else notice that this airplane now rolls back and forth on AP? Doesn't matter the wind, it rocks back and forth. Done a few long flights and have noticed this. This is since the update. Also, Robert is there a way I can turn down the particle effect on the landing light. I like it, but I think it is a bit too much as sometimes I can't see what is in front of me. Cheers.

The recent MSFS update has changed a few things, some of them for the better, but it now requires a revision, so I'm working on that at the moment. The a/p has changed in nature since the update - that will be fixed too. If you read the pdf guide it has a section on the volumetric lighting. The light "fog" is tied to two things - the amount of "aerosol" you set and the value of your "light shafts" in the graphics menu. With medium light shaft settings and low aerosol the beam is lessened. If you turn aerosol up and have light shafts at "ultra" you will see much more volumetric effect. I tuned it assuming most people would have low aerosol and medium light shafts. Robert Young - retired full time developer - see my Nexus Mod Page and my GitHub Mod page

A great addition with this Mod. I will be honest, I spend my free time flying rather than reading but I will have to give it a read. Thanks so much. Look forward to V3, and the 62!
November 3, 20205 yr There is indeed a bit of wing rocking with the latest MSFS update. Not too terrible though. Flew 2 more legs of my around the world trip this past weekend. Took off from Dutch Harbor in a 30 kts crosswind.... very dicey, given that the 'demonstrated crosswind' of the Bonanza is like 15 kts. I had to let it drift away from centerline for a bit to build up speed in order to have enough rudder authority to correct back with so much wind. The waves in the ocean were quite large at that point! After takeoff I turned 90 degrees and flew the rest of that leg with the wind at my tail, I was cruising at 214 kts ground speed at 8,000 ft. The broken clouds default preset is interesting. Depending on the runway you can end up with something like a 12 knot crosswind gusting to 24 knots.
November 3, 20205 yr Can someone tell me how I can tell if Robs V2 is in my 1.11.20 version of MSFS. I have put it into the packages/community folder but cannot see any other G36 than the asobo one and no other liveries. Is there a way of recognising the G36 in the simulator.

It should replace the default one with the new G36 unless you do some tweaking yourself to get both.
November 4, 20205 yr I know it should do but I do not see any difference to the original one so I was wondering how I could tell. I noticed other people can have different liveries I only have the original asobo one. Surely one should be able to tell.

At loading screen should say: Cruise Speed 208 KTAS (was 176) Max Altitude 25,000 feet (was 18,500) If you are not seeing the turbo version go into dev mode (options -> general ->developers to enable dev mode) and select Tools -> virtual file system and double check you have the right location for the community folder Edited November 4, 20205 yr by Glenn Fitzpatrick
November 4, 20205 yr Hi Glenn Followed your instruction. At loading, cruise speed is 176kts, max alt 18500. I then went to Options- general- developers, enable, whole screen now has lines all over it. Then select tools virtual file system shows C\PF\window apps\MFS-1.10.8.0-X64-8weky…..\packages C\users\Bria\Appdata\local\packages\ MFS-1.10.8.0-X64-8weky…..\Local Cache\packages\Official\OneStore C\users\Bria\Appdata\local\packages\ MFS-1.10.8.0-X64-8weky…..\Local Cache\packages\Official\Community It looks to me as it should, however screen has flashing lines all over it. When I am in the cockpit I then cannot know which aircraft I am in!

C Good question. Indeed only fuel from the L tank was being used. I suspect when engine failed, the tank was empty, but the R tank still had fuel in it. Using the mouse to switch magnetos to both or R does not change anything. Fuel is only being used from the L tank.
