Thanks for the update Robert, looking forward to V3.  I also enjoy your honest feedback about what is going on 'behind the scenes' with the SDK/aircraft.  I feel that some of the commercial developers are choosing their words carefully so as not to impact potential future support from MS/Asobo, so your perspective as an 'independent' subject matter expert is useful.

Thank you! I've now finished testing sooner than I thought possible. V3 will be uploaded sometime this weekend. I've PM'd you.

I could probably disable icing, but then others might complain it is not available. I'll see whether it is tweakable, but I suspect you can't alter the way it works.

Its not a complaint Robert, I like the icing.

Oh I see. In that case maybe I shouldn't worry. I like the icing too, at least visually. But it does seem to happen a bit too easily.

A bit to easy, yes but its still great imo. Makes you think when you see weather and clouds, unlike....it makes no difference.

Asobo mentioned the icing in the last twitch Q&A.  They recognised the effect was a bit aggressive and they said they found an issue with the icing formula they used.  They say they have a new icing formula, so that means they have fixed it hopefully, and so it can be expected in one of the updates that are due.

I like to trick airline passengers into thinking I have my own swimming pool in my back yard by painting a large blue rectangle on my patio.

In the Nov 5th update dev twitch stream, the Asobo CEO mentioned they were using a French icing model which they believe to be a bit too aggressive. Hopefully they will tweak it in upcoming updates.

French icing model

LOL...my mind instantly went here:

Look at the pics....no WONDER the icing was overdone if coming from a country famous for its iced-up pastries!🤣

Speaking of the Bonanza......she is fast-becoming my fav....thanks to Mr. Young.

Took her to Quito...was blown away...see here:

What is the difference between this and the G36 Project? https://github.com/TheFrett/msfs_g36_project/releases/tag/0.61

Can I have both the enhancement or do I have to choose?

The main difference is that the turbo version goes faster. You can very easily move one out of the community folder while you fly the other, or vice versa.

Hi Robert.. Just getting back into MSFS 2020 now that the latest patch brought it back to playable standards (for my needs of course.. Results my vary) and I was in a hurry to finally try your mod out.

THANK YOU!..  To me this is TBM quality now but for those who like the GA aircraft more..  I was a huge advocate of your Lancair Legacy back in the day so it's really nice all these years later since "retirement" to be able to fly something again that has your golden touch..

Thank you again and best of health my friend!

Following this very interesting project 👍

Missing the PMDG DC6 in MSFS 2024 (she's here, but...).
