October 22, 20205 yr I have the Saitek Pro Throttle Quadrant which is an older version with a PS2 connector. It is connected to my PC via the USB ports on the Saitek Pro Yoke. After installing MFS 2020 it showed up in the controls screen but has now disappeared from there. The Yoke remains connected to my PC although I don't use that now having bought a Logitech joystick instead. Sometimes, even though the throttle quadrant does not show on screen, its controls do seem to work within the sim , but sometimes it doesn't (that could be the settings for a particular flight, but I'm not sure). Do I need to buy a USB throttle quadrant or is there a workaround ? Geoff Emson

October 22, 20205 yr USB version here - no problems! 👍 Got mine from Amazon UK recently for about 50 quid. I only just found out that there is a button or switch at the bottom of the throttle detent if you pull it right back. I set mine to toggle reverse thrust. Works great! I will start reading manuals one day. 🙂 Rob (but call me Bob or Rob, I don't mind). I have the ps2 version connected to my yoke and also a joystick and have no problem using it. My yoke is broken so I don't use it, just have it connected to use the throttle quadrant
October 22, 20205 yr Wonder if its using bot at the same time - usb and serial - I cant get these to work together - I didnt try serial version by itself Rich Sennett

I think the one connected to the yoke only shows up when the yoke is selected. I think it's the same way with XP

October 22, 20205 yr There is a utility that searches Windows registry for saitek controllers and makes sure that windows will not put them to sleep from time to time. The problem is Windows can easily put them to sleep but it is harder for Windows to wake them up. Even when Windows is trying to do that, sometimes it cannot. The disabler mentioned above I believe separately changes some registry entries. The PS2/DIN connected quadrant is not separately identified other than it is in and of the yoke. Been there done that on the same combination. Look back about four years in the Hardware/Controllers forum here and you will find some in depth posts I made on this as I overcame the issues. October 23, 20205 yr 1 hour ago, Richard Sennett said: But are you running a usb and a ps2 at the same time Just to clarify a bit, although the Saitek TQ that plugs into the Saitek yoke uses a DIN connector that looks like a PS2 connector, it is not a PS2 interface logically speaking. In other words, if you computer happened to have a PS2 socket, it would not work to plug that TQ directly into the computer. Windows, and the sim, sees the Yoke/PS2 TQ combination as a single USB device. The 'PS2' TQ makes use of the USB circuitry inside the yoke so that the data from the TQ is combined with the data from the yoke into a single USB data stream to the computer. In effect, it is just like the CH Flight Sim yoke with the 'built in' control levers. Saitek just decided not to hide everything inside one box. Now, the Saitek yoke housing also includes a USB hub, which can even use external power if needed. So you can plug other USB ready devices, such as TrackIR, a Saitek USB TQ, Saitek Rudder Peddles, a joystick, etc., into this hub's USB ports just as you can with stand alone USB hubs. USB ready devices plugged into the Saitek yoke's USB hub are seen as individual devices by Windows and the sim. Al Edited October 23, 20205 yr by ark
