January 29, 20215 yr Commercial Member Well, though we do have several products in the pipeline for MSFS, as well as two coming out soon(ish) for P3D v5.... our concentration has been on our milsim contracts of which we have several. So... time, resources, people... tough call. We're trying to find a way to do EVERYTHING but it's just not possible. If anyone wants a job... (and can code... ) buzz me. Please contact oisin at milviz dot com for forum registration information. Please provide proof of purchase if you want support. Also, include the username you wish to have.

I admit we are out of touch lately and I was guessing their channel wen silent because they are overloaded with work.. and his last comment here just confirms it 🙂 That is a good thing it means they are doing well, which makes me feel happy. The PC-6 and the Bell 407 are actually 2 of the reasons why I keep v4.5 installed. Anyone tried the Bell? Won’t be able to test this, though, as away from my sim rig for some time.

Top tier companies who do study level products have to use their time where the money is and at the present time it's MSFS. However to enjoy those spoils and unlike P3D you must eh... bend the knee to the way "they" do things. So far none of the top tiers has eh... how should I put it, submitted a product but we will have to wait and see how far a company will go to sacrifice their reputation for said product. Abandoning P3D and XP will come at a cost it just remains to see how much, just my humble opinion. I understand that developers must prioritize and focus on the products and markets they think will be most successful. MSFS is the shiny new thing and has brought in a lot of new simmers which presents a good opportunity for developers to make some money. However, P3Dv4 is only a few years old, yet this particular company has already abandoned it. It would be more reasonable to stop supporting FS2004, FSX, and even P3Dv1-3 as they are older and use 32-bit code, but not P3Dv4 IMO. So if I buy one of their products for P3Dv5, then I can reasonably expect support for it to end shortly after P3Dv6 comes out. I believe that any company has an obligation to support their products for at least 5 years. Sorry, but I'm just not going to keep purchasing the same products over and over again whenever a new sim version is released. If they make a product for v4 we shouldn't expect it to be fully supported for v5 v6 v7 ect... the PMDG 737 is an example of that. Eventually msfs products will suffer the same fate. Exactly. If Devs update their addons to run on the next version it is a bonus for the customer. And some Devs do, so everyone can choose to only buy addons from those. That said I would still buy Milviz aircraft a second time for V5 and a third time for V6.... Karl i9-9900K@5,0 | 32GB 3200 | 2080TI | 4K 55" | MSFS | P3D V5

What I mean is that they should support their products for the sim version they were made for. I have no problem with *reasonable* charges for upgrades to newer sim versions. For example, upgrading a P3Dv4 aircraft to work in P3Dv5 does not require a complete rebuild from scratch, but there is likely some work involved, so asking customers to pay an upgrade fee is reasonable. Abandoning products made for P3Dv4 after only 3 years, however, is not acceptable IMO. My specific gripe is with the 737-200. It should have been fully upgraded to P3Dv4 and a small fee charged for this. Instead, the upgrade to P3Dv4, albeit free, was half-a**, so now I'm stuck with an old steam gauge 737-200 and can't fly waypoint routes or do RNAV approaches. I'll probably end up getting the Captainsim 737-200 when it goes on sale. Yes, I'm a cheap SOB. January 30, 20215 yr Commercial Member You, like all owners of the 737, were told WHY we were removing the Sperry 177 and the associated UNI1 FMS. That product has been like this for, seriously, years. If you don't like it without the UNI1, please, feel free to buy another 737. It's not like there's a dearth of them out there. After three years, support is, only now, being removed. I don't know when v6 of P3D is incoming, but when it does, 2-3 years after that, we will surely shut down support for v5. That's how this, and many other, companies, roll. Please contact oisin at milviz dot com for forum registration information. Please provide proof of purchase if you want support. PMDG NGX was supported from 2015 until recently, including a free upgrade during the change to 64 bit. T7 was released in 2015 and is still being supported. That’s what I’d like to see from all P3D developers. And I think there’s plenty of others who would also be more likely to purchase if they were confident support would be ongoing. Must admit the "full price" really annoys, one reason I've not upgraded to p3d5 - don't want to buy it for a 3rd time, especially since I prefer the 600/700/BBJ..... That said it's probably cost less per hour of use than the Carenado birds that are sitting in my virtual aircraft graveyard.... If people are willing to buy that garbage and im sure you guys wanna jump on the train and throw out some hot garbage as well, WHY do you think we care if it works right or not? If it flies thats a start.
