Seems to be the same version as the last beta. Otherwise I will update and see.

Doesn’t work for me

Installs but frozen

Running hf2 version of P3Dv5

One crash due to VRAM starvation when I launched ActiveSky.

One crash when I executed my flightplan city pair. (g2d.dll, version 5.0.31.35253)

Not a good start for me....

You using the low res version? It still sucks up VRAM but maybe that would help. I don’t know why they set the high res version as default when it’s essentially unusable.

Will not bother with low res. It looks rather bad on a 4k screen. And I have 11gb vram. Being forced to use low res is ridiculous.

Most of my gfx sliders are at 75%, so nothing maxed out, really.

Have you disabled Trueglass?  It still causes the dreaded DXGI hang for me in v5 HF2, and the KA350i uses it.  If you've previously disabled it and then reinstalled the new 1.40 version (or another add-on that uses it, like the TFDi 717 or the QW787) it will re-install that Trueglass gauge dll.

I haven't seen more than about 7-8 GB of VRAM committed on my 2080Ti, and I'm using the high res panel and 4096 max texture size.

Thanks for the advice, I think it's activated on my setup. You can disable it via MVAMS menu, correct?

Thanks for the tip about trueglass, I will give that a try.

Whom are we waiting for an update, trueglass or LM?

EDIT: Simbol said in another thread he believes TG is getting updated. so hopefully this will help with RAM consumption.

No, I don't think so.  I disable it by renaming the trueglass.dll file in the P3Dv5 gauges folder.

There is an option to disable 'TrueGlass' in the Add-ons menu.

There appears to be a problem with disabling 'TrueGlass' from the Add-ons menu as on next start of Prepard3d I get a black screen outside of vc, ie no scenenery, however switching 'Truglass back on restored it.,  most odd
