Has the y announced when the world update for USA is coming? are they going to update the high resolution maps for the regions?

I'd prefer they fix the debilitating game breaking bugs first before spending time on regional scenery. But of course Microsoft doesn't care what I think.

You might check out their developers q/a tomorrow, as they might get more specific, but it sounded like the November time frame.

You're probably right, to a certain degree. The fact of the matter is, a separate team (possibly contractors) works on scenery.

They said 2-3 months between World Updates in the last Dev Q&A and we got Japan in September.  I'd expect no earlier than December for the next.

They also said there would be a new digital elevation model of the US included.

We're getting impatient about this update, aren't we? in fact, a message to the guy tasked with signing it off...

"I'll give him 20 more minutes. But that's it."

 

Just to be clear - the minor update due this week is NOT the big much talked about US scenery update.

There does seem to be some confusion on that.

It might have been avoided if Asobo had used different terms for different things: 'Patch' for corrections and minor improvements, "Update" for feature additions such as scenery and aircraft and 'Progress report' (or similar) for their weekly summaries. 

But that might have been too clear!😁

Probably plausible deniability.

The term "Patch" implies you are admitting there were genuine issues and hence are leaving yourself open to potential litigation.
