November 8, 20205 yr I could be wrong but I thought there was a weather fix in the last update. Just went to Miami Executive where the real world weather was rain and 30knot wind. On the world map it was the same. click "fly" and I'm at the airport with a 3knot wind and not a single cloud in the sky.
November 8, 20205 yr I have found sometimes the weather doesn't actually load and a restart of the sim quickly fixes it. But it does seem to be an ongoing issue (live weather) and is noted on the dev posts. November 8, 20205 yr Was this your 2nd flight of the session? If so did you have something resembling live weather on your 1st flight by any chance? Thomas Derbyshire

November 8, 20205 yr Someone on the msfs flightsim forums reported the same conditions as the original post and apparently the solution was to log out of xbox and back in again.

November 9, 20205 yr I always restart the Sim after the first flight now just to be safe, a PITA of course but not the end of the world, hope Asobo fix this Soon. November 9, 20205 yr Weather has definitely gotten much, much worse for me since the last update. Other people had the exact opposite change, but my weather was mostly ok since launch but now it seems way off. Plus, whatever the airport says before the flight never matches up with what ATIS says, and that never matches up with the windsock, which never matches up with what the G1000 is telling me. I honestly have no idea which way the wind is blowing sometimes. My guess is that the G1000 is right (at least that's which way it feels). ------------------------- Craig from KBUF

That's one of the 1st things I do when getting to cockpit - hit the B Key. Some times it changes, sometimes it stays the same. Even then there are unwanted issues. I am using REX Weather Force and I get accurate pressure when compared to live metars. And that is the one variable that ATIS reports correctly. Have no idea why. Yesterday I was flying in and around Roanoke, Virginia. The real world pressure was in the low 30.40's range. WF matched that. ATIS reported it. Here is another rub on the sim itself: in the Baron G58 and in a couple of other default aircraft, the autopilot will always climb you to your target altitude. For me yesterday, that was 5,000 ft. With a 30.42 altimeter setting, the AP took me to something like 5,300 and change. If I dialed my altimeter back to 29.92. the AP descended me to 5,000 ft, spot on. Conversely, the G1000 AP in the DA62 handles altitude correctly. It could be that internally, some of the aircraft are not reading the real world pressure from injected weather, whether default or add on. Odd that ATIS is picking it up. You're saying the ATIS verbally reports 2992, no matter where in the world you spawn, and then hitting the B key, your onboard instrument also always reports a readout of 2992? I don't know why it does it. It didn't happen before the last patch. ATC is always reporting 2992, and it's actually 2992 when I hit B. This is with Live Weather, I haven't tried changing the weather to check if it changes the altimeter. It's just one of those weird bugs I guess.
