Seasonal Tree Mod, really impressed

Featured Replies

I am sure (I hope) that you all may have seen this.  But I just wanted to shout out that this is really impressive and well done.  Very simple to download and a community folder placement.  Good Job to the dev team.

Enjoyed this today myself on a flight from Indiana to central Michigan.

I'm not one for bringing back dead threads, but things move pretty quick in this forum and looking back a page or to to see if there was already a thread on something that you can add to is generally useful...

Edit:  This one is also on the front page but doesn't seem to be released yet:

Ah, ok, these are the two ones (very good indeed) that are around lately. I thought it was another one.

Hehe....glad I'm not the only one struggling to keep up with all these great mods! (This is a GOOD thing mind you 🙂 )

Have not tried it yet....but then again I'm currently flying across the desert parts of the US....just landing in KPHX just from Winslow....so will wait to I get to an area where I can appreciate the trees. 😉

I installed it and enjoy it for now. After I first loaded the game, the trees where I was were not immediately colored (maybe due to tree type), but after flying for 5 minutes, then started seeing the colors change, haven't flown that much yet after installing, but the mod looks ok so far.

Yes, Steve, never imagined the hundreds of GOOD addons that exist for an already impressive simulator. All my time flying is currently spent in exploring regions. Now I’m exploring the Caribbean islands and all its intriguing airports and general environment. Mostly flying GA aircraft, mainly the Caravan, the Bonanza and the DA62 this last one waiting for RY’s mods.

I agree.  There's a new one on the horizon but this one is perfect as it seems you can't get the tree colors to be regional.  Florida get's subtle fall foliage so this one works both up north and in the south as the type of trees who's leaves change is more sparse.  Anything more would be too much. That being said I like the Winter/Spring pics shown in the other option so not sure how I'm going to work that in flying from the upper mid-west to South Florida.

Hi Dillon. I am not quite understanding what you are meaning. Can you explain it a bit more? By the way, I remember you used to live in Minnesota and are now in sunny Florida. I envy you as we are headed for a long winter here in Minnesota.

Hey Mike, what I was trying to say is Florida get's Fall colors.  I was surprised when I moved down here that we get Fall, no winter but full fall. The color's aren't as drastic as up in MN but imagine the whole winter season with late September colors comparable to that time of year in MN.  When the leaves are barely starting to change is what we get down here for an extended period of time.  So the first rendition of fall textures offered by Bijan is perfect (look at the Miami screenshots on page 8, that's accurate Fall/Winter in Florida):

Bijan's textures look great with hard winter, regular fall, and southern fall.  Anything more than that would be too much for the south.  Until Asobo figures out regions for season textures Bijan's rendition works for flights traveling north and south.
