It's what they keep doing to it that is wrong. Did you see Marsman2020's comparison video showing FSX and X plane heading capture using default aircraft, then comparing it with the latest MSFS update? Before the update the heading capture was almost perfect. For reasons that are a complete mystery Asobo have slowed down the heading capture to a crawl for no good reason. It was not the source of problems that people were having at all. I have been tweaking the previous a/p code for weeks and I can confirm that, with a bit of trial and error, it was almost as good as the standard FSX basic a/p (which was actually very good). There are so many other demands to make a mod or new product work well. It was rightly assumed by all concerned that the last thing they needed to worry about was the autopilot. Nearly all the reported concerns regarding the a/p with various aircraft were not the a/p itself but either flight model setups or badly tuned individual parameters to the standard a/p. The a/p itself was totally reliable, but people understandably started blaming it because they did not understand that the odd behaviour they had with some aircraft was not in fact the core a/p coding at all, but flight model mistakes or a badly setup individual a/p variables. I can assure you that there was absolutely nothing wrong with the basic a/p code at all. The FBW Airbus is a completely different challenge as it needs an a/p that can do all sorts of non standard stuff like Fly By Wire functions, sophisticated VNAV and managed,FMC-based altitude and lateral functions that have always required custom programming. Ive been folowing your stories on it, trust me, i know what the problem is. When i said fragile, i meant its usually the matter of many complaints after patches. So whatever they do, its nearly always affecting the AP in some way, shape or form. So having a back up one, open source, and fixable in a day or two instead of a month, i say yes.

Just wondering since I downloaded the latest dev version via their app today and the neo again did not capture the flight track after it took off at Atlanta. It started a right turn again and again, also after de- and then re-activated the AP multiple times. If fbw gets this really right then I am in for some funding. Do they already accept now donations to support their work? November 30, 20205 yr It's certainly fixed for me. I could reproduce the issue 100% of the time if I didn't perform the save/load workaround. All is well after several cold and dark tests.

Sadly still the same, during a full flap landing, 130kt, different retard height from 50-20ft, still the same thing, not enough drag or too much lift and nose not going down I just checked the A32NX github, it's a bug and it's work in progress
December 1, 20205 yr I'd actually feel just a little shamed if i were ASOBO to have freeware Devs fix the stuff i can't get right. Intel i9-13900K | Gigabyte Z790 Aorus Master | RTX4090 | 2x16GB Corsair Vengeance DDR5-6000 | Be quiet! Pure Loop 2 FX AiO | Win 11

Edit : i just saw the 3th download option with custom fbw, i will give it a shot good, just in case a good starting point is this https://github.com/flybywiresim/a32nx though I prefer the installer they published, being able to chose from dev or stable branch. on a side note I did download the latest dev mode 1hr ago for a flight from Mo I Rana to Kastrup and managed alt mode does not work, set to FL200 but still sends me down to 6700 feet, selected alt mode works however. nicely cruising now into SUVAR EDIT now approach into EKCH but as soon as I enable SEC1 the AP behaves weird again, steers right away from course.. trying to land now w/o SEC1 Edited December 4, 20205 yr by DAD Phil Leaven i5 10600KF, 32 GB 3200 RAM, ASUS 4070 12GB EVO, Asus ROG Z490-H, 2 WD Black NVME for each Win11 (500GB) and MSFS (1TB), Rolling Cache 16GB, Photogrammetry always OFF, Live Weather and Live Traffic always ON, Res 2560x1440 on 27"
