My theory is there is only one P3D player left and he keeps logging in here under a dozen different names.

There are plenty of airplanes if you simply looks around. 😀

Yup, however, in fairness to that one guy, in order to keep his outbursts balanced, he also goes on the P3D forums and posts about there being no weather, realistic scenery or realistic ATC without having to spend a few hundred quid to add those things, so it's all good. 🤣

The A320 autopilot works fine for me.

Thank you all for the comments. Please don’t misunderstand my comments. MSFS is and will always be my preference. The essence of my comment was to simply list the issues I am facing with the default airliners. I am looking forward to those quality planes and then the sim will be almost complete. The camera issue needs to be resolved as well. I will not go back to P3D to be clear.

For me the real challenge is trying to keep up with all the updates to these mods.

If you don't have one already, get yourself an account at flightsim.to.   You can then get notifications when anything you download there gets updated.  That doesn't cover the entire panoply of MSFS addons, but it's by far the bulk of them.

Double post.

Well I just had the most majestic flight in the latest FBW A320, full IFR the whole kit kaboodle and job lot.  So I wholeheartedly disagree with the title of this thread.  🙂

The sim as a platform is pretty special - right now we have some fantastic freeware/payware scenery and aircraft/avionic mods as previously mentioned in this thread.

Huascar,

To be clear, we are all aware of these issues and there is absolutely no point in listing them here.  Go to ZenDesk and tell them. It will achieve much more than appearing troll like, here on this forum.

There are many simmers waiting patiently for 3PDs to get "stuck in" with airliners, but this will apparently be delayed because of the lack of a suitable SDK.  NOW there, is something to add to ZenDesk in large numbers., if you really want to add a voice for a better sim platform.

In the meantime, anyone who says there are no good aircraft in MSFS is barking up the wrong tree.  We have NEVER had it so good with default aircraft in any sim platform, at any time in the past. You, and others, may find those default aircraft not to your liking, but that does not make MSFS unflyable due to lack of (decent) aircraft.

Regards

Tony

Tony - I made it very clear when I indicated in my comments that I supported MSFS. You are absolutely correct...we never had it so good. Conversely, you strike me as someone who never cares to hear about opposing points of views. If I read your comments correctly, you’d rather silence anyone who expresses criticism about the ongoing issues with the platform. Why don’t you let me express what my first impression about the sim has been. May I?

OSM,

I understand where you are coming from with this post, but, the 3PDs are almost unanimous in stating that the SDK is not yet ready.  Again, no point in telling them something they already know and are in no position to change (except through negotiation)

There are now, allegedly,  in excess of 2 million MSFS users and if they ALL go to ZenDesk to request update of the SDK, we may get a swifter reaction and subsequent resolution to this problem. This 2 million unanimous reaction is never going to happen of course, but the solution will happen, even if it is eventually, in the fullness of time, or whenever they get round to it etc. You get the idea LOL

If I read your comments correctly

I think I can safely say that you do not mate.  I think I am very flexible with my praise and also my criticisms.  If you have followed me, (I cannot see why you would though) I have always praised MSFS but have also criticised them severely and often about their shortcomings.

I am just trying to say that you are preaching to the converted in general with your original post.
