Rob youngs bonanza doesn’t work with the update properly.

Oh dear. I have not been able to download yet. What is the problem with it?

1. I get a huge spike after the update. Took off from KSFO and turned South into the Silicon Valley

20201222231658_1.thumb.jpg.2d6bd9a3691f2626519f25ee3f291688.jpg

It only disappeared close by. I often fly in the area and this wasn't there before.

Others report similar spikes

2.I had a CTD after half an hour in VR using my Reverb 1. I didn't observe any CTDs in the VR beta.

Kind regards, Michael

PS: I should add, community folder completely emptied before the update and still empty.

I turned the taxi lights on and they shone right through in to the cockpit floor. I am sure all the Liveries have disappeared too..... I haven’t had a chance to test any more since that

Thanks for that info. Well I have got very tired of having to update, or delay other mods with this constant tinkering by Asobo. I don't mind improvements - they are always welcome. But there is no reason why suddenly any lights should be broken. Sorry about this. When I have the time and inclination to download at a quiet time I'll have a look at what they've done.

Yeah you're right, screw Asobo for making season weather happen with literal snowfall. For making snowfall accumulation only happen based off of actual data. Nah forget that, you want arbitrary textures that get loaded up in the sim based on a calendar day and stay the exact same year round.

Tell me now, if the trees were as you wished, would the sim be perfect to you? Don't answer that, I'll answer it for you, No it won't. You'll find something else to complain about.

Summed up my thoughts completely, never happy, never will be. Always the same.

One last item for this topic from me.

We have now ventured down 4 tortuous months into the life of this sim.

We have endured 4 long months of Bugs, fixes and updates which to and fro in the "broken" department.

After the aforementioned 4 months, there has been so much done to improve this sim by MS/Asobo and this work is still ongoing, as well as very gifted modders, who must shudder with the prospect of another update. These guys generally are reacting incredibly quickly after each update as well.

I would really like to express a really BIG shout out to them, their work and the incredible results that they achieve. THANK YOU guys.

Finally, after such a short 4 months, MSFS already feels like a seasoned campaigner and I, for one, wonder what the world would be like now, without it.  I have to admit that I am still to-ing and fro-ing between P3D and XPlane on a daily basis to get my fixes there, but, I am increasingly wondering why.

NSFS will always be "what it is" for each and everyone one of us, and like P3D and XPlane will have its devotee, rabid and otherwise LOL.  None of these platforms are perfect in every sense of the word and none of them ever will be.  That  concept automatically dispenses with the need for any updates or new aircraft, sceneries or utilities, which is unimaginable,

I have just done with download and now to commence my update/install so I am off for the time being.

Finally, I wish to extend an incredibly great and merry Christmas to those who celebrate it and the same for a great New Year. Sadly, it is to be celebrated by me without my beloved wife who is "stuck" in Indonesia. Even worse is that due to this awful Covid pandemic, there are millions of people who are in the same plight or even worse.

I wish you all well and a safe journey through these troubled time.

Regards

Tony

Seems like autopilot turn logic is much improved, and more like Robert Young would expect. Turns are nicely aggressive and roll out is not slow as molasses like before!

Yup, lots of micro stuttering even at 50-60fps. Happens during Sharp turns or looking around quick.

I was really hoping this had been addressed. This issue has been with me for the last couple of updates.

It used to be relatively smooth in tuns and panning, now this micro stuttering.

Yep, turns are much quicker than before. The autopilot is a little twitchy for my liking now, at least in the DA62X mod, which is the only plane I've tried since the update. But I imagine twitchiness can be more easily tuned and smoothed than the excessively slow turn rate in the last update.

As mentioned in the patch notes, they've added holiday decorations to some of the landmarks. Here's two screenshots I've taken. I also saw pictures on the official Discord of Tokyo Tower and the Sydney Opera House. Nothing in Paris is lit up, not even the Eiffel Tower.

So sad to read this. I am very recognizant of your frustration and appreciate your sentiments. Hang in there mate, all this nonsense is sure to dissipate over the next ten years LOL.

Any further news on the DA62?

Merry Christmas and a happy New year to you and family.

That is not what I see in your picture. I should post a photo of my trees right now.  It's December 22 and I live in a heavily wooded area in eastern Maryland.  Looks like a residual amount of dead leaves in December, not summer trees.  That looks like what I was seeing here two weeks ago.  That noreaster storm you mentioned that brought you the snow, gave us high winds that cleaned off most of what was left.  But not all.

Somehow, in your post quote, it was attributed to me. That was not my post or photo.

It's a shame the stock A320neo is such a poor representation. The new landing challenge was fun until I got the old random wing drop again on about 1 in 5 landing attempts. Same old symptom, at ~15ft it flings a wing to the ground. The ground physics are still completely unblended with the flight physics so the aircraft (any aircraft, any location) still lurches down the runway as if it was on ice.

The snow is pretty and convincing but I'd rather Asobo sorted out the physics engine - FBW will sort out the A320 in due course. I know I'm in a tiny minority in wishing for physics engine improvements because it's eye candy, not realism, that makes MSFS sell so well. For me, though, this is an immersion killer and is very frustrating.
