Some have mentioned the artefacts, I'm seeing those - a collection of small pyramids. So far my flight time since the update has been restricted to just flying around my local EGGD - I can see a collection of artefacts just north of Chew Lake, can anyone else see these too?

Yep, that is exactly what I've got.  I was wondering whether it was an update problem or whether the UK2000 scenery wasn't playing well with the update.  Do you have the UK2000 EGGD installed?  if not, it must be an issue with new terrain data/mesh.

I do mate yep. Like I said looks like it's just north of Chew Lake when I saw it from a distance.

No Ian I don’t use g-sync. Still waiting on stock to buy a capable monitor.

Will be interested to hear what you find with the earlier driver though.

I was reading further and apparently it is affecting non gsync too. So worth a shot, I will test soon.

I saw them as well. At me it was north of EDDK. When you approach them, they disappear.

Happy with MSFS 🙂

Seems these artefacts / mesh spikes are all around the globe.

They really need to improve their beta testing.

It feels like that comes with the larger LOD of the trees 🤔

They're all over the Teesside north east area, too.  EGNV/EGNT.

@tweekz

Don't you think the problem listed in your signature can be set as resolved now?
I think the new reactivity setting adds the much needed inertia

Yep. If they would just hire 5 hardcore simmers to test their product, there'd be 50% less bugs.

Hopefully the Beta-model is going to address that issue.

Yeah, must have something to do with LOD.

Happy with MSFS 🙂

The same here ( small pyramids) north of Seattle...

@Filou,

You experiment exactly what I have noticed yesterday 😇

I'll put up with the odd artefact now I've got my frames back. Older rig; 4790K and 1080Ti, 16 Gig GDDR3, running Nvidia 460.

The last update thieved about 10 FPS and left me with a stutter fest. That's gone now and I'm back to very smooth indeed on mostly MEDIUM settings.

Clouds look like clouds again and the whole rig feels a lot snappier.

A quick circuit around my local and the control sensitivities of the C172 felt very, very good indeed. Inertia is there at last.

Best Update so far for me. Just shows how all our mileages vary. 'Twas ever thus and ever shall be.

By restarting I had succeeded in eliminating one around Nantes thinking that it was definitely gone all over the world...

I think there should be some sort of automatic way to remove "My goodness, FBW is broken" along with any other references to other mods not working. I say this because with every update the same thing happens, so it is far from unexpected. Maybe a BIG BOLD statement from MS/ASOBO with every update notice, that modded aircraft, MAY, if not, WILL BE, broken.

Another BIG BOLD statement with every update notice that users should copy/paste the community folder to another drive or folder before the update and then reinstate the folder after the update and reboot.

I am incredibly surprised to find that so many people with the common sense and logic to be able to fly a plane, cannot grasp these two inherent and indisputable facts.

It would also be nice if MS/Asobo could come up with a way to not upset these mods in the first place, but I suspect that this would be very difficult ?? (read impractical)

Someone else stated here that these threads should be limited to the things that have gone wrong with the update and have no input into Mods breakages at all,  This may be a good idea but it certainly limits those who want to vent or just discuss the update in other terms.

I cannot comment on the update as I am 12.15Gib into the update at the moment.

Regards

Tony

I agree Tony.

In the very first paragraph of the release notes, Asobo advise moving everything out of the Community folder.
