The Mandalorian

Featured Replies

I was really looking forward to a TV series set in the Star Wars universe, but I have to be honest and say that I am rather disappointed with The Mandalorian. There may only be eight episodes in each season, but 75% of it feels like pointless filler to me. I really wish that they would stop messing about, get rid of the excess fat, and concentrate on the main story. I can do without side quests involving monsters and humanoid frogs

I agree. I watched a couple of episodes and gave up. Just not my cup of tea.

you guys should stick it out a bit longer.. the last few episodes of season 2 tie back to the SW universe in a big way.

I agree. I was about to give up on the series but regained interest mid season 2.

Fear not. I have every intention of watching the remaining six episodes of Season 2.

The Expanse is really good. However, I will wait until all Season 5 episodes have been released before watching them. I still have two full seasons of The Walking Dead and Fear the Walking Dead to keep me occupied

I thought the same when I started season 2 and gave up for a few weeks.  Started it again and binged it.  The last 3 episodes are awesome and I thought these episodes put it above season 1.   Plus I shed tears at the end. I really did.

But maybe she isn't ugly. Maybe you are requiring glasses? 👍

It's my birthday today, so you MUST agree that Mandalorian is excellent. Its the law!

Walking Dead is rubbish now though. The first few seasons were good then it went down hill rapidly.

You are a man of great intellect!

Happy birthday Martin. Trust me, I've known enough women over the years to be able to separate the babes from the ugly ones.........🙂. Not braggin', just telling it like it is.

Am I the only one that loves it???

The layout of the episodes and storylines are far more like adventure TV series from the 70s then anything, but with all the modern special effects, which for me is the perfect balance. Battlestar Galactica and other sci-fi greats from that era were similar, a main storyline with subplots for each episode. This goes back to that concept once again which I like.

It may feel a bit slow at times but my 70s brain appreciates that, and for me Star Wars represents the 70s 😎
