January 20, 20215 yr I am only flying about 35-40% of my hours in MSFS for various reasons discussed by many ad nauseum in other topics. But when I fly in MSFS I am getting greatly tired of hearing ATC refer to most traffic as Generic this and Generic that. Here a Generic, there a Generic, everywhere a Generic Generic. It is causing me to avoid tuning active ATC frequencies until I need ATIS. Oh my! Don't go there either... Can anyone write a mod that takes a handful of other name labels and apply them randomly within the MSFS ATC to replace use of "generic"? January 20, 20215 yr I thought i read somewhere its caused by liveries in your community folder. I never have heard that and I dont have liveries.

January 20, 20215 yr It's because the AI is using generic aircraft models. Only way to fix that would to have non-generic models. Though theoretically If you open the aircraft.cfg file of all the generic aircraft and delete the "$$:Generic" from the atc_type line that might stop the ATC from saying the word. January 20, 20215 yr If you install AI aircrafts or download the mega liveries then you would get many real liveries for AI rather than Generics. Here is a tool.
