sound problem (unexplained volume drops)

Recommended Posts

Five flights after uninstalling the KB4601319 update (released 9 Feb 2021) and not a hint of the uncommanded sound volume drops since.  I'm fairly convinced now that the Win 10 update was the problem.

I had the same problem in 5.1. Mine seems to be fixed by going to:

- Sound Settings;

- Sound Control Panel;

- Go to communication bar;

- Select 'Do Nothing'

thats the one !

Just for the record, every time I fly the FSL A3xx next time I open P3D the volume is lowered to a random level (my personal preference is to let it at 100%). I complained about it with the developers, but nothing ever changed and I have to manually correct it every time.

That happens to me all the time!  Today as a matter of fact.

I have also had the exactomento same problemo. I concur that the issue seems Microsoft related. I suspecto the mute function in the Your Phone app, which cannot be turned off.

I solved the problem by opening the sound cards config, name a soundcard I don't use as the "default" sound card, and then name the sound card I want to use (a non default soundcard) in P3D and other apps. This worked on my system by tricking Microsoft to mute a soundcard I dont use.
