T-45C Goshawk shaping up for release shortly.

Featured Replies

I see the T-45C Goshawk from Indiafoxtecho should be released shortly going by their blog. They have met their minimum requirements for release and just polishing up some items for the initial release. I’m a huge fan of the Hawk and this version is different enough from the upcoming Just Flight version to make me want both.

Ryzen 9800X3D, RTX 5090, 64GB, Win 11. MSFS2020. Moza, MFG, Fulcrum & Virpil controllers. Quest 3 for VR.

Great!  I love the Hawk as well.

This worries me a bit though.

NOTE: due to the way the HUD is made, it is currently not collimated. Also, it is subject to tearing due to TAA. Please deactivate TAA for this aircraft.

Disable TAA?  That's a bit rough, and probably a no-go for me.

I like to trick airline passengers into thinking I have my own swimming pool in my back yard by painting a large blue rectangle on my patio.

Intel 14900K in a Z790 motherboard with water cooling, RTX 4080, 32 GB 6000 CL30 DDR5 RAM, W11 and MSFS on Samsung 980 Pro NVME SSD's.  Core Isolation Off, Game Mode Off.

Yup, definitely a negative and can hopefully be addressed in the future. I’ve been flying the beta with and without and eventually just left TAA on. The tearing makes the HUD look like the HUD footage you see in old dogfighting videos, strangely authentic in a way.

Early F14 had bad lag on the HUD.

Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-10700F CPU @ 2.90GHz (8 cores) Hyper on, Evga RTX 3060 12 Gig, 32 GB ram, Windows 11, P3D v6, and MSFS 2020 and a couple of SSD's

Yeah I'll just wait until MSFS supports collimated HUDs. You spend 90% of your time looking through it and it's totally gimped? No thanks.

On one side it's great to have a jet in the sim. On another hand I had two of them currently I don't fly them at all LOL

No TAA means no good looking VR then...

500GB SAMSUNG 860 EVO SERIES SSD M.2

I thought that I read the F-15 had found a way to get around the TAA issue, but still no collimation due to MSFS not supporting it, so the flight path indicator is not accurate depending on where your head position is in the cockpit.

I'm sure if there was a HUD on the CRJ we'd have collimated HUDs by now.....but only the chosen developers get that level of access to Asobo.

The CRJ appears to have a HUD 🙂

Nope.

Sorry Lep! Nope what?  You mean plenty of developers are getting direct support?

I would expect Aerosoft to get plenty of support, as they do seem to be a special partner, although they have made critical noises about the SDK at times, which surprised me.

I actually think the recent hotfix was more for them and maybe other developers. After all, it wouldn't  have been good to release the CRJ and Arrow etc. With the flaps issue.

Hey friend, yes, thats what i mean. Althought i cant say for sure, but if me and my buddy, with our new noob studio that never released anything ever on any platform, can have direct acces to Asobos dev, i feel like anyone can. Now, it is true tho, that you kinda need to have some contacts that can give you that access, but if you hang around dev forums, and interact with people there, i dont think its hard to stumble upon the right people.

As for the recent hotfix, i dont think it has to do with 3rd party developpers, but more with users. It basically broke every single plane, they HAD to hotfix it.

Thanks for the reply Lep!

With the passion you have for this, I can't wait to see what you and the other chap produce.
Judging by your early shots of your Beaver work, which looked absolute quality, I will definitely be in the queue for for whatever you turn out!
