Why do I sense some sensitivity in this post, we knew of this FBW project months ago, its not likes its April 1st or something.

The "Something bigger is coming" is a joke/reference to the FSA's campaign made by FBW, given that they are working on an Airbus bigger than the A320. Ok got it.

Plus it has the FBW logo on it bottom right. They aren't in the habit of showing real life photos to pass them off, just their own work. Rob (but call me Bob or Rob, I don't mind). I like to trick airline passengers into thinking I have my own swimming pool in my back yard by painting a large blue rectangle on my patio. March 9, 20215 yr Does anyone know whether the FBW team intend to include shared cockpit functionality for the A380 - or even the A320, or whether this is something that Asobo will be including as part of the sim's core functionality at some point. This is something that should be a standard feature going forward. Edited March 9, 20215 yr by ErichB
March 9, 20215 yr They are going to show the A380 progress in the next stream, I saw it in discord AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D, 64GB DDR5 6000MHZ RAM, RX7900XT, FreeSync 165hz 1440p display

March 9, 20215 yr I really think these guys should consider putting this out as payware. We know the quality that FBW can deliver and will no doubt deliver on the a380. Given what is on the market right now and I won’t bad mouth developers but let’s say lesser quality products that are being sold at a price fair or not, how would people feel about FBW putting this out for free given the time effort and skill put into their work. Donations of course can be offered but when we don’t have to the majority won’t donate I imagine and it’s their right to have that choice of course. Be interested on peoples thoughts on it.

The problem with passion projects is that developers eventually lose interest in sustained development. People move on, life moves on - and in reality everything comes at a cost - especially people's time. A project like this , especially with a sim that is constantly being updated - will need constant maintenance, update and support. I just fear that it will taper off eventually as a freeware product. Have seen it many times over the past 20 years. I would be willing to support this project if they put a price tag on it. Edited March 9, 20215 yr by ErichB
