EnvShade really can make the environment look realistic.

What is the performance impact of EnvShade?

AMD Ryzen™ 9 9900X3D, AM5, Zen 5, 12 Core, 24 Threads, 4.4GHz, 5.5GHz Turbo
64GB (2x32GB) DDR5 6000MHz Corsair Vengeance
32GB GeForce® RTX 5090 Graphics Card

You can't compare performance on 2 different systems and setups. Sometimes a setting has almost no impact on day one and day two it has because something else changes too.

I recall Envshade has very low to almost negligible  impact on my end.  But I have always reserve on my end and so never run at its limits.

Is EnvShade worth it on its own or is it also worth getting EnvTex too?

A matter of taste. What other textures set do you currently have?

On request my EnvShade settings :

Monitor settings :

Here my current workaround to avoid Lava roads :

https://www.dropbox.com/s/s27oxbmhm0juf44/Foto 23-03-2021 13 45 29.heic?dl=0

If you change the 0.55 value to a higher value the roads will be less saturated. With a lower value more saturated.

I've got ORBX installed plus numerous add-on airports.

Sorry for not being precise. I meant what other texture addons, being equivalents of Envtex, do you have?
If you are not sure, have a look what Envtex offers: https://www.togaprojects.com/envtex

If none, it definitely is worth. But maybe you already paid for ASCA or REX, then you need to judge based on screenshots and videos.
I (don't ask me why, lol) have all three addons and have used each of them. Currently I have ASCA and Envtex deactivated and use REX, as I like their cloud textures (the sky is also nice).
When/if LM makes their EA/TrueSky what it has potential to be, that may become my choice, as for the atmosphere.
