Importing Custom Views into Standalone FBW Neo

Featured Replies

Hello all

Just loaded the new standalone FBW Neo and (obviously I guess) all of my custom cockpit views that I setup for the default Neo are absent.

Just wondering if anyone knows if these can be copied over from the default Neo and if so, where they're located ?

Thanks.

Hi Gary,

Here you are:

C:\Users\XXXXX\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.FlightSimulator_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalCache\SimObjects\Airplanes.

There you create a new folder called FlyByWire_A320_NEO and you just copy the camera.cfg which is in Asobo_A320_NEO folder.

Worked a treat !

Many thanks - that saved a lot of time.

Greetings.

Quick question if I may. I already have FlyByWire_A320_NEO folder.

I created custom cameras in the stand alone A320 and I see camera.cfg file is in C:\Users\XXXXX...\LocalCache\SimObjects\Airplanes\FlyByWire_A320_NEO folder. I guess this is new created custom cameras file?

If I want to save my custom cameras and restore them in case I lose them do I have to save that particular camera.sfg file and then drop it back if I lose cameras? So what is the correct location of custom cameras.cfg file to back it up?

Thanks

I backed up my FlyByWire A320 NEO camera.cfg file, then I deleted it and copied the original Asobo A320 NEO camera.cfg file to FlyByWire A320 NEO folder. And now I got my old and good camera views, including the wing view. Excellent tip, thank you!

Can you show the path example to that file please? In the original suggestion there were to paths so that is what confuses me. Thanks

C:\Users\Me\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.FlightSimulator_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalCache\SimObjects\Airplanes. There you should have to Airbuses, the old and the new one. Please keep in mind that this path is a Store version, Steam might be different.....

OK. If I go to ...LocalCache\SimObjects\ there I have all airplanes (not in \Airplanes\ folder):

If I go to LocalCache\SimObjects\Airplanes\  I have only FlyByWire A320NEO:

In that FlyByWire A320NEO I have camera.cfg file.

Is that the correct camera.cfg then?
