That video took me into another dimension. Totally forgot the real world existed. A fantastic dreamlike feeling to it all. Specially the bit between the trees. Amazing how a completely computer generated thing can have this effect. Thanks for posting that!

Not sure what you mean but this what we are making.

Do you eventually plan to give the cockpit a "well used" look (scratches, a little dirt here and there, chipped paint, etc)? That would enhance the realism IMO.

Sure, some mandatory textures, scratches, etc will be added as usual for the modern 3dPBR texturing technique. But we are making cockpit from 2019 and not from 1959! Don’t expect rusted metal!!!

P.S. We use Armorpaint. Here is short video show 3DPBR texturing phases:

Nah!!  It's a Porter.  Those trees would be sawed-off at the 50-foot line.

I think this porter is comming along nicely. The fact that it will have a slightly used panel adds to (my feeling) the immersion. Unused panels look cartoonish.

I hope that you will find a slightly more elegant solution for the "banana label" buttons for the checklist and avionics. The idea is great but I'm sure I will be trying to peel it of the panel.

Now that we have 2 "other" porters the bar is raised.

Hi hansb57

We will not change "banana label" buttons to something different. The reason - we don`t want to create any additional UI like "tablets" or popup windows.

I am looking at building and texturing a model...Is there a pro to using Armorpaint vs Substance Painter outside of the cost?

Hi CaptainNick

IMHO, Armorpaint simple and powerful enough to handle texturing tasks for MSFS world. But as usual everything depend on a personal skill.
