I strongly approve of this. Forget those world updates and stuff Asobo, this should be the priority!

Tomorrow it be we need people realistically walking downtown Manhattan or farmers plowing cornfields of Nebraska.

Well you obviously don’t have any of the popular the Vegas Strip add ons or you’d also complain the strip looks deserted without all the people walking about!

There are a certain number of problems with traffic, not only the short radius around the aircraft where cars are visible, but also a problem with the rendering engine making them disappearing (you might want to vote this one):

I applied this (manually, it was just modifying some numbers) to every version of FSX/P3D as long as I was actively using it, and it worked wonders. Would be great to see a similar mod in MSFS.

Kind regards, Michael

Do you remember where the source for this modification is? As I use 9% traffic slider in FSX. So you all are saying the road traffic looks more believable moving at a slower speed? I would love to give this a try as I love seeing the road traffic pass in front of certain runway approaches like MKJP and KFLL

For Prepar3d, you have to modify the file "LWcfg.xml" under

C:\Users\[your profile]\AppData\Roaming\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v5

There are certain speeds (<FreewayTraffic TrafficSpeed="100">) given as "100" and you have to modify them to something like "60".

The procedure for FSX was similar, I think, but maybe a bit more involved, maybe you had to create that file or get it somewhere. I don't recall details but this might be sufficent for a successful search.

If memory serves me right, ORBX made a tool ("slower traffic"?) for applying this under FSX once, perhaps it's still available somewhere.

Kind regards, Michael

I've found it, thanks Michael!

Guaranteed to happen as the hardware and software improves, so we might need to wait for MSFS 2030 for this and many other enhancements to create a complete universe where you fly from KSFO to PHOG, hop in your Tesla, drive on roads to Kapalua Plantation, and play 18h w/ Lexi Thompson, or whomever floats your boat by then.  Then of course, you can hop aboard your fishing yacht and go marlin fishing as well

Flying in the UK, some roads have traffic, but quite a few don't seem to.  I was following the M5 the other day and parts of it have traffic and other parts don't.  My traffic is set at 80%.

Has anyone noticed cars flying off of the Clifton suspension Bridge and flying underneath it?
