April 26, 20215 yr Now, the sim crushes to desktop every time after running for 5 to 10 min. Tried removing everything from the Community folder. It did not help. Will there be any 'hot fix' of the latest hotfix coming out soon? Will there be any 'hot fix' of the latest hotfix coming out soon? No hotfix will solve your problem as crashes after 5 minutes don’t happen to most of us. If you want help, tell us about the aircraft and the places you fly and some indications on your hardware and whether it is overclocked and running hot ? By the way, when you say crash, is it a return to to the desktop or a freeze ? April 26, 20215 yr The OP offers close to no information about anything. It's not our job to solicit this information before offering suggestions. I know there are tech forums that won't let you post before you've filled it out a kind of form with necessary info: operating system, gpu, processor, ram, overclocks, etc. Maybe avsim should implement something like this here.
April 26, 20215 yr Yes, and what are your PC specs and what error message did you find in the Event Log? Since the hotfix things have got broadly better for me since e.g I switched on Rolling Cache and set it to 64Gb. I have a substantial Community folder but have had few issues with mods once I update them regularly. If they do cause issues they are deleted. Of course this may be something else, but I would bet it's not MSFS itself that is causing this.

By the way, when you say crash, is it a return to to the desktop or a freeze ? It crushed to the desktop. I was flying C172 classic at different locations (EDDL , RJAA , VHHH , KSFO). They all crushed after 5 - 10 min. Sometimes, it just crushed when I was idle on the runway for 5/10 min. Hardware configuration: i7-2600K (overclock to 4.3GHz) , 16G DDR3 RAM , Gigabyte 1080ti and SanDisk 960G SSD I use Open Hardware Monitor to log the temperature during the flight. The GPU core temperature was around 84 - 89 C. So don't overclock anything, RAM, CPU, GPU, etc. Edited April 26, 20215 yr by abrams_tank i5-12400, RTX 3060 Ti, 32 GB RAM
April 26, 20215 yr Your CPU is on the weak side and a good overclocker but try as said above to run at at its standard clock. Something else, MFS seems also sensitive to USB or jack loose connections. Check that everything is well on this side (headset, controllers etc.). Also flush the rolling cache. BTW, you said you do not have anything in the community folder but do you have any addon in the Official folder bought on the Market Place (except of course the MFS World updates) ? April 26, 20215 yr Do you tried to clear or shot totally of your cache in the sim ? If not i would try that, happens to me one time and defently helped me and others - but wasent with this update because my cache is allways off since the time i had those problems with that cache what caused allways CTD`s for me. Maybe worth a try.. But anyway a bad sime at this time, the performance is that worse ( stutters, complete holds, short and longer times ) wasen´t before like that.. Therefore they allso should bring out and hotfix, to wait here for the next update ( at June ) drives me crazy 😒 cheers 😉 08.2024 new PC is online : ASUS ROG STRIX X670E-F GAMING WIFI Mainboard, AMD Ryzen™ 9 7950X3D Prozessor, G.Skill DIMM 64 GB DDR5-6000 (2x 32 GB) Dual-Kit, MSI GeForce RTX 4090 VENTUS 3X E 24G OC Grafikkarte, 2x WD Black SN850X NVMe SSD 4 TB - Drive C+D, WD Gold Enterprise Class 12 TB for storage HDD, Thermaltake Toughpower GF3 1000W PC - Power supply, Thermalright Phantom Spirit 120 EVO CPU Aircooler with 7 Heatpipes, Design Meshify 2 White TG Clear Tint Tower-Case, 3x 4K monitors 2x32 Samsung 1x27 LG 3840x2160, Windows11 Prof. 23H2 - now Windows11 Prof. 25H2 Flightsimulator Hardware: Honeycomb Throttle Bravo, Logitech Extreme 3D Pro, Logitech Flight Joke System, XBox Controller, some Thrustmaster stuff, Winwing CDU Panels.
