May 2, 20215 yr Hi all, Just today I found out by starting at Rotterdam airport that the France-Benelux had not been installed. To be sure I checked Rotterdam city and no Erasmus bridge. When's the world update came out I got the message downloaded the 1 Gb update and then the large update was downloaded. I now have the France-Benelux installed by going to the News tab and choose the DL there. So now I want to check if I have the UK world update and the US update installed. Where can I check this ? In the Content Manager I see nothing ... May 2, 20215 yr If your Sim looks like it did in the trailers a year ago, you have no issues with intermittent sutters during approach and on short final and you can see trees further out than 5 miles you probably don't have them installed properly. 😉 Or was it Sim Update? May 2, 20215 yr Marketplace. Access it from the Home page in the running simulator. And the World updates are individual. For instance I do not have Japan installed at this time as I rarely fly in that area. Same with Europe. I do have the USA and UK World updates installed. You can install/uninstall these individually. I believe school is still out on what effects or system drains are present having all of them installed at one time. It does factor significantly into how much of your local storage space is consumed. May 2, 20215 yr I was wondering about this. I just recently purchased MSFS from Steam, my version shows as 1.15.8.0. World Update IV (France, Belgium, etc.) says it requires MSFS v. 1.15.7.0, and World Update II (USA) says it requires v. 1.11.6.0. I can't see what MSFS version Update III (UK) requires. May 2, 20215 yr Author Looking at Marketplace - Full catalog - Owned --> Yes I learned that I had World Update 1 , 2 and 4 installed. So I was missing the UK World update. So I choose Owned --> No and almost at the bottom there was World Update 2 : UK & Ireland and I choose to install it. May 2, 20215 yr I almost wish there was an indicator, like I think when you invite friends, you get a RED number for you or them to accept the invite. So that we would know there are items to download, but fairly sure people would complain about it. And yes I know there are items that say NEW, in the Content Manager and Market Place. But it is really up to us to check! I thought when a purchased item was updated it was an automatic download and installation. I was Wrong. May 3, 20215 yr The feature and bug updates that break everything regularly are compulsory and automatic. The World Updates are neither compulsory not automatic. The world Updates are entirely optional and need to be installed. For me it always takes two steps to get the World Updates: go to the Marketplace and "buy" the digital licence (even though it is free) once the Marketplace says you now "own" it go into the Content Manager and download and install it Note that you need BOTH steps, Marketplace and then Content Manager to successfully get a World Update.
