This ia amazing  that different 3rd party, usually freeware it appears are focusing on different default aircraft as times goes on. And some even the Premium Deluxe aircraft, which I thought they could not do cause of the files being encrypted?

The 747-8 is from the standard version, not sure it's encrypted.

By the way I can't make my 747 following a VNAV descent. During cruise, I just change the altitude for something at the beginning of the glide slope 2000-3000 feet for exemple. at FL290, 100nm from the airport, with VNAV and LNAV engaged, I push "Enable altitude intervention", And the Boeing will try to descent as fast as possible, does not care about restriction, also, no TOD on the ND map.

I am doing something wrong here?

Excellent news! Don’t often care for those really long-haul flights, but I’ve liked this mod so far, and can’t wait to try out the new features. It might even give me the motivation to cross the Pacific on my round the world trip 😬

Is the FMC working better for waypoint manipulation? Last version I still couldnt edit waypoints or even do a DTO.  I dont see that anything has changed in this regard for this update.   But sure is nice that its being worked on.  The default is an absolute mess.

At first: It is a mod and not study level there is still a lot work to do on this..

At second: A lot things can`t be done ( DTO is something that has to do with Asobos Autopilot and Nav calculation ) because of the funktionality of the Asobo Autopilot ( still everything they do is bound on this ) and they not Flybywire who made wasam modules for better implementing all those special things - so just keep that in mind.

But to say from my side, i am realy lucky the guys of Salty Team doeing this job and that for no coast ( just not to forget ) and if somebody else can do that Job, go ahead and make sutch a mod..🤔

I will be the first to try..

Premium planes might not be as fully editable as the standard edition ones, but they can still be massaged. The modded Longitude flies much nicer than the stock one. None of that rocking back and forth at altitude nonsense. 

Silly question - I see where to add my Simbrief username, but where do I request the download of the flight info into the FMC?

Still can't get VNAV descent on the Salty 747.

I am at cruise altitude FL310, LNAV and VNAV selected, ALT set at 3000, nothing is happening as I am approaching the airport.

Should I press anything to engage VNAV descent? Should I see a TOD on the flight path?

Dont think VNAV is working at all, nor for a longtime still. The default aircraft have a difficult time getting VNAV to work properly.  Use a managed manual descent yourself.  Just select a V/S to get down.   Keeps you on your toes because you will have to watch the speed, but makes things more interesting then just pressing one button. The banana arc should help with the profile.
