SHOCKED they did this, but then again, they DID kind of state that they don't take MSFS seriously a while ago. Such a terrible move on their part. WAY to tarnish your reputation. What is it even more astonishing, they didn't even spend the effort to just change the fonts of the FMC or even change 747 to 777 which is super easy to do. Typical CaptainSim, then charge later for every single expansion AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D, 64GB DDR5 6000MHZ RAM, RX7900XT, FreeSync 165hz 1440p display
May 17, 20215 yr Clearly a money grab. CS is already in my non-purchase list for years and this only reinforces that decision. May 17, 20215 yr Well, it's a start. Hopefully they will get to know MSFS over the coming months and they will improve it. I would love their B707 to come over eventually. I agree about the constant expansion thing. I remember getting their B757 for FSX, then buying the -300 and cargo versions. Still, it is up to the purchaser I suppose - nobody is forcing us. May 17, 20215 yr This made me laugh: To be fair, when I hit refresh it appeared, but for a moment it was pretty funny. Edited May 17, 20215 yr by Chock Alan Bradbury Check out my youtube flight sim videos: Here

The 777 is one of their key products and they have put it out now using 747 default gauges....Surprised to see a heavy weight dev doing this! Either they need the money and will discount any system upgrades in the future or they have little faith in MSFS being a viable study level sim and have just cashed out now! Not looking good. I guess we will see. That's pretty stupid of CaptainSim though. MSFS is the future of flight sims. P3D and XPlane have a chance of becoming obsolete. If CaptainSim wants to screw their revenue stream in the future, when XPlane and P3D no longer generate revenue for them because they are obsolete, that's a mistake from CaptainSim on their reputation. i5-12400, RTX 3060 Ti, 32 GB RAM

There are GA planes for more than that and even then they are filled with "inop" and badly working systems.

May 17, 20215 yr All the config files are visible since it installs in the Community folder, this means you can tart about with it if you like. Had a quick look and it is mostly using default stuff - aka 'Doing a Bredok' (TM), but I don't think people need to get their panties in too much of a twist with that kind of thing, keep in mind it is only 20 quid before you have a thrombo about it. 😉 The engine expansion/cargo expansion will however probably be 200 quid. 🤣 Edited May 17, 20215 yr by Chock Alan Bradbury Check out my youtube flight sim videos: Here

Well it will be $66.6 for the systems or $99 for the full package.. and I would be ok with that if it was up to their usual standards. However this right now is shocking but not a surprise. MS/ASOBO have really dropped the ball, the system within MSFS are clearly an obstruction to most dev building anything remotely close to decent add-on levels, not everyone has the grasp that Fly by Wire / WT have on the internals but even they are borked in places e.g. the default flight planner sending the plane back to the start of the flight the A32NX suffers from this, and this is why Aerosoft stayed away from it with the CRJ. Its a joke to be honest. Devs have to eat, MSFS is not a sim AT THE MOMENT for serious simmers its for nickel & dime add-ons, and until ASOBO/MS pull finger out quit with the eye candy and get the sim into shape it always will be!

We are blaming the devs for something they have no control over, they have to eat. There is a market for this within MSFS, i think larger than for study level! Edited May 17, 20215 yr by a321
