CaptainSim releases Boeing 777-200ER for MSFS!

Featured Replies

Each to their own, why should folk be rediculed just because they are happy with the aircraft and for what it does for them (you know those that paid for it) If you dislike it, dont buy simples... I get the frustration of those wanting more in depth  systems or " Study Level" as some put it. But as you know this takes time.... be patient, and i am sure they will come along.

Off to buy it,

AMD Ryzen 7 5800x3d, MSI X570 Pro, 32 gb DDR4 3600 ram, Gigabyte 6800 16gb GPU, 1x 2tb Samsung  NvMe , 1x 2tb Sabrent NvME, 1x Crucial 4tb Nvme M2 Drive

CS have studied the MSFS market carefully and have watched a lot of youtube vidoes that clearly demonstrate that a not insignificant chunk of simmers basically just fly their plane from the outside and don't give a rat's rearend about whether the cockpit is just a reused 747 one. I mean, if you don't look to closely, they look alike anyways, and it's easy to just edit out two engines.

Only in the avsim filter bubble do simmers pay $140 in order to push a few extra buttons.

Exactly. There is room for all sorts of flight simmers, and frankly, whilst sometimes I want to go all nerdy and spend an hour pre-flighting my FSL A320, other times I want to kick the tires and light the fires, so I like both kinds of add-ons. And after all, if I want to go and fly a real aeroplane, that's what I got a pilot's licence for, and that really is as real as it gets.

But beyond this, if people imagine MS would ever have considered making a new flight sim solely for the 37 people on Avsim who insist on the ammeter needle reading being millimetre accurate on the overhead and dropping .00001 amps when someone flushes the toilet in the cabin, then they need to put the crack pipe down. The vast majority of flight sim users want to fly their 747 inverted under the Golden Gate Bridge, we merely benefit from that sim also being able to handle fancy add-ons, which is why we pay the kind of money we do for such things.

a lookalike Cripple Seven

I am forever referring to the product by that name now, that's gold! 🤣

My first thought is where will it put 733,757 and 767 updates back...

Then there is no system..

Maybe OK for me then....

No liveries as far as i could see, i could only see the default when in the hanger, checked liveries and there were no others.

That's genuinely the nickname the aeroplane gained when it first came out (mostly among the cabin crews who worked on it); that was because it was notorious for the in-flight entertainment system breaking down all the time. Fortunately the systems which make the thing fly were not as ropey and it was/is a pretty reliable aeroplane with a remarkably good safety record.

There's a custom camera mod on the .to site and the liveries are mentioned there.

"No probs man! Don't forget you get 6 liveries included in the download! You need to get them from the exe file"

Liveries won't be a problem, with a 20 quid add-on, it's not so exclusive that the repainters won't take a punt on it. If you wait a week, you'll be hard-pressed not to find any livery you want for the thing on flightsim.to

kyu25kd.png

You can also expect a lot of other mods for it too, since the config files are not hidden, and the MSFS modding community is prolific, so even if Captain Sim don't tart it up, other people will do. It might well end up being the best 20 quid you ever spent.

Yes, alongside the GE90, I would love a RR Trent 800 and PW4000.

Rob (but call me Bob or Rob, I don't mind).

I like to trick airline passengers into thinking I have my own swimming pool in my back yard by painting a large blue rectangle on my patio.

Intel 14900K in a Z790 motherboard with water cooling, RTX 4080, 32 GB 6000 CL30 DDR5 RAM, W11 and MSFS on Samsung 980 Pro NVME SSD's.  Core Isolation Off, Game Mode Off.

Does it have wingflex?  I haven't seen an accurate 777 wingflex on any of the images posted.

Sincerely,

Dennis D. Müllert
