Liveries won't be a problem, with a 20 quid add-on, it's not so exclusive that the repainters won't take a punt on it. If you wait a week, you'll be hard-pressed not to find any livery you want for the thing on flightsim.to

You can also expect a lot of other mods for it too, since the config files are not hidden, and the MSFS modding community is prolific, so even if Captain Sim don't tart it up, other people will do. It might well end up being the best 20 quid you ever spent.

How good is the exterior model and textures? Does it feel like a direct port of p3d or something made ground up for MSFS?

Exactly. There is room for all sorts of flight simmers, and frankly, whilst sometimes I want to go all nerdy and spend an hour pre-flighting my FSL A320, other times I want to kick the tires and light the fires, so I like both kinds of add-ons. And after all, if I want to go and fly a real aeroplane, that's what I got a pilot's licence for, and that really is as real as it gets.

But beyond this, if people imagine MS would ever have considered making a new flight sim solely for the 37 people on Avsim who insist on the ammeter needle reading being millimetre accurate on the overhead and dropping .00001 amps when someone flushes the toilet in the cabin, then they need to put the crack pipe down. The vast majority of flight sim users want to fly their 747 inverted under the Golden Gate Bridge, we merely benefit from that sim also being able to handle fancy add-ons, which is why we pay the kind of money we do for such things.

So the future is bright is then 😞

Does it have wingflex?  I haven't seen an accurate 777 wingflex on any of the images posted.

It says yes on there website https://captainsim.net/products/m777/m772/

But don't know if it works in the sim ( at the moment so far ).

cheers 😉

Well, for flight simmers it actually is much brighter than without MSFS. 🙂

Is there the real sound of the GE-90?

Interesting release, my curiosity is piqued enough to pick this one up.

Reading over the feature list I can tell this was much more than a quick cash grab and the price point seems fine for what we're getting here.

Easiest thing to do if you disagree is just not purchase it, voting with your wallet is the most powerful thing you can do to a commercial entity.

I see it as a stop gap until the likes of the more in depth aircraft make it into MSFS.

pay $140 in order to press a few extra buttons.

You can press them?

I might even get me a copy of this. I really like the look of the interior shots, cabin and cockpit, even if it is just another tube from the outside for me. I guess I may well be their target market, and I say that without any sense of shame!

Real world pilots hand fly 777's across the Atlantic for 7 hours straight and land the plane manually in zero visibility! Hell they dont even bother programming the FMC, they navigate via stars and yellow page's sized maps!

Rumor is that 777 pilots just use strip clubs and night clubs for vfr reference......nothing else!

I am one that will probably buy this 777.  I want to get a fedex livery for it and fly memphis to o'hare.   Fedex dont use 747's anymore so......

This is really really lame. As far as I am concerned, this is again another black mark on CS which were on a better path to improvement. This is many steps back.  There is way too many aircraft addons taking the default crapola systems and cockpit textures and mismashing together.  Horrible reputation for MSFS to tout it being serious when this stuff is being pulled.  At least Aerosoft went out and kept things true to the real aircraft.

It’s more then lame. It’s downright embarrassing to charge a single dollar for something that would be an average freeware add-on. I call it shameful and obnoxious for a ‘developer’ - I use the term loosely with CS - to have shown utter contempt for simmers of any level for this abysmal payware offering.
