Carenado news

Featured Replies

Thanks for the info @bobcat999. It's now working fine with my Carenado aircraft. I seem to have an issue using it on the Just Planes Arrow, as the EFB is reporting a security issue? and the GTN750 is dead. I'll go and check the Just Flight forums to see what is causing this problem.

Problem solved all working fine now.

I saw this video on Youtube this week. What is the difference between this GTN and the Freeware?

I think it is important to note, that neither one of these products is complete, as yet.

The freeware product is advertised as a "beta" which is telling you the story, but the payware product is also a "beta"... which becomes clear if you download a copy of the documentation (!)

So, if you like being the first one to try a beta product, go for it... but be aware that it is a product that is still missing some pieces (largely because MSFS does not not yet support the required interfaces.. which is outside the author's control to fix..)

Wow.. Not something I expected from Carenado. They usually release a few minor patches and off to the next plane.. Adding this feature is pretty uncommon for them but it's highly appreciated

Actually, Carenado supports a GTN750 in these very planes in P3D, so it is a logical step for them to take, just as it was for Just Flight and their Arrow.  😉

What's going to happen when the other two versions are released? Will there be more updates? That's why I was surprised.

Carenado doesn't want to fix the panel lighting or the EGT in the Mooney, but they offered a GTN mod. Just odd. But, I'm grateful. 😀

That's odd...just try a reboot?

Nothing seems to work. I just checked and it still only produces a white screen on the GTN, non- Carenado aircraft seem to work ok.

Fixed it!  The most obvious cause, conflict with JD GTN Mods.  Shut them down with Addon Linker, all good now.
