Just tried removing and reinstalling the Windows App and that hasn't worked either.

There is a Discord channel for MSFS.  You can try asking for help there too.

Use ad-on linker, then you can disable everything in your community folder with a simple mouse click.

something strange happened for me. I deleted my community folder and msfs wouldnt start until I put it back

Are you getting a loop in the download or extraction part. If it's the extraction part the files are just Zip files so you can do it manually.

it says gps doesnt fly back to previous wp so I'm guessing thats what they are referring to

Remove contents only is the advice, don't delete the folder.

Am I right in saying the new visual effects system has been released but just not implemented? So do we now need to wait for a developer to create a smoke/runway spray/wing and engine condensation/fancy 747 loop aroundy dynamic contrail effects package?

It will come to default eventually, just right now it's only for addon makers.

I love seeing patch notes that are this blunt:

“Removed fake and completely wrong ITT simulation when prop is feathered or reverse”

Shows a healthy level of acceptance of things not being right and needing fixing on the part of the Asobo team.

Drat it,,,,,,,,I remembered to revert my European radio terminology mod back to default before updating but forgot to empty my community folder.........Wonder if I'm going to pay for that later.

 

Only 1 more GB to download, so I will soon find out.
