GTN 750 in MSFS

Featured Replies

I just updated my Arrow - Seneca and Seminole in MSFS and noticed that they will utilize something almost identical

to the GTN 750 - and the Carenado site and shows the following is available for their aircraft

The product is from GPS for MSFS2020 (pms50.com)

Has anyone tried this yet?

Yeah we've been using that beta GTN for months hehe.

then maybe I should rephrase the question

to those who have used it - how was the install - and how do you find it compared to the

P3d/XP versions

If you look on this forum and as  i type you can/should see a masive topic on it only 4 post down. Have a read.

It's not nearly as good as the RXP verison.  But the navigational accuracy is limited by the sim.  WorkingTitle will be making a new G1000 NXi and hopefully the base navigation will receive a version of that tech in the coming years.  Someday this PMS GTN may be as good as the RXP one was.

I find it quite good, functional and reliable (no more those hateful black screens and complicated update process of the former GTN750 from F1 for P3D). Absolutely recommended. Been using it for a while now.

Cheers, Ed

I have never had CTD problems before, but using the PMS GTN750 with the Carenado Mooney I had two CTD's trying to fly out of Mexico City to Vera Cruz (MMMX to MMVR), at about 30 to 40 minutes into each flight.  I left the GTN 750 disabled on the third try and completed the flight successfully.

I think I have read somewhere that the author mentioned by disablng messages in GTN750 would help. I have been using it with or without messages for days now and no CTD's yet.

Hope it helps.

Yup, it's been flawless for me since turning of the messaging system.  No issues whatsoever.

Can it be integrated into any of the default aircraft?

Not in the cockpit.  There seems to be no way to do that according to Asobo.  You can run it on a second monitor or on an iPad/android tablet with free software.

Ooops edit: that info is for the TDS GTN Xi.

For the PMS GTN yes you can...the Carenado planes have it as well as Just Flight Arrows.
