I feel like they're always teasing some major feature but I'm hard pressed to tell the difference between their tweaked shaders and default. Maybe I need to mess with it some more take b/a screenshots.

Then there must have been an issue on your end as I clearly see the differences between settings.

As a test : make sure that you have, the default V5.2 shaders.

In EnvShade scroll down to Scenery brightness . Set to Minimum. Save .

In the P3D controls menu : make a shortcut for `Refresh or Reload Shaders (it’s one of the two ; not behind my pc ).

Apply the shortcut. Look at the scenery.

In EnvShade set Scenery brightness to Macimum. Save.

Apply the shortcut. The scenery should be brighter.

I think (personally) EA for 5.2 looks much better than ENVSHADE now

Won’t be able to download until the weekend.  Anyone know if the orange lava roads at night are finally gone?  Someday I’d love to see manual numbers/formulae/entries as well, allowing broad customization like PTA.  Envshade certainly improved 5.0/5.1 for me, but there were some effects I would have certainly liked to adjust wider values for than just what was allowed by the slider options.

Check out my repaints and downloads, all right here on AVSIM

FYI, I installed it .The large white haze using ActiveSky is now gone for me.

Then you probably do not know what EnvShade does.

With EA enabled clouds, sky and atmospheric are fixed. However it will fix the white haze as vincentrouleau mentioned.

But everything that has to do with terrain can be adjusted to make it look more realistic. See the EnvShade guide.

Do they help volumetric clouds?

As nothing has been changed with EA (except for dust/dawn ) you can still use those settings .

For those using Envshade with EA on, there is a setting in the UI you need to make sure is on.

Does it fix the dark cockpits when you're using EA?
