We’re only doing MilSim in P3D and those do not go out to consumers…. If we could use MSFS for MilSim… we would but we can’t because there’s no weapons, no commercial license for end users and it’s impossible to do close formation flying without vanishing…. That's incredible. Less than 100 units of a MilViz product! With the most complete ProLine 21 implementation I know of. I own that aircraft and it's beautiful. I am very sorry to hear this. I know effort went into it. The good news - you guys will be able to utilize it as a base for the MSFS release and it should do REALLY well considering there isn't anything else in the pipeline for that particular aircraft segment that I know of.

I struggled as to why, since my understanding is that it has the same PL-21 that's in the King Air (which is a wonderful aircraft by the way) but I imagined certain other systems were where the "incomplete" came in, but I still don't really know even to this day. It seemed like to got bad press so-to-speak, rightly or wrongly. Then it disappeared and re-appeared. It was just odd. Rhett 7800X3D ♣ 96 GB G.Skill Flare ♣ Gigabyte 4090 ♣ Crucial P5 Plus 2TB

July 27, 20214 yr Commercial Member Just a side note on the technical aspect (since I'm the only guy on the team who works on the WX and I am swamped with milsim stuff), the latest P3D includes a new weather radar API which I am looking at using to replace the previous rendering system which is heavily dependent on hooks which is why new versions keep breaking it. However, for reasons explained previously, it is not number one on the priority list although it is by no means at the bottom (Curse of 10+ years development experience == high demand on milsim stuff. Gee have I been doing this for that long?). Jonathan "FRAG" Bleeker Formerly known here as "Narutokun" If I speak for my company without permission the boss will nail me down. August 16, 20214 yr Commercial Member Ok so update: I have the update more or less complete, but I am reluctant to release it at this time because the way the P3D API is simulating tilt and beam geometry is fundamentally flawed (0 returns with 0 tilt at certain ranges below clouds while showing full returns with 0 tilt above the clouds). We are working with LM to get this fixed, although we have no timeline on when this will happen. August 16, 20214 yr Commercial Member Or, we can release it as it is... and fix it later. Your call.... Please contact oisin at milviz dot com for forum registration information. Please provide proof of purchase if you want support. Also, include the username you wish to have.

Well, if the radar works correctly at tilts greater than or less than 0, but just not at tilts close to 0, then I'd vote for an early release unless you get the sense LM will fix things in the next month or so. As long as users understand the 0 tilt issue I think they can work around it just as one would have to do in real life if informed of a similar problem just before a flight. Realism! 😉 Al Edited August 16, 20214 yr by ark

Are there any indications from LM further fixes are in the pipeline that could impact on this? Ray (Cheshire, England). August 17, 20214 yr I agree it's better to wait than have a flawed experience. Temporary sim: 9700K @ 5GHz, 2TB NVMe SSD, RTX 3080Ti, MSFS + SPAD.NeXT

I posted a bug report on their forum but it was only responded to by the unofficial helpers and confirmed by one. I'm told LM read all the posts but a simple acknowledgement of a bug isn't asking too much. Good luck and thanks for keeping us updated. Ray (Cheshire, England).
