Nemeth Designs Yakovlev YAK-18T released!

Anyone suffer framerate loss from this plane.  I love it but I'm getting 20fps with it and I normally get 55 to 60 fps.

Is that in cockpit view, external view, or is FPS trashed regardless of view.

internal and external.  I really like this plane hope it gets straightened out.  PMDG DC-6 I'm getting 32fps Internal 60 external.

I am getting 48fps in the cockpit with my AMD Radeon RX 5700 XT.

If you can walk away it's a good landing

Can some one of the "owners" tell me if the GMK is working (panel left side of the yoke) ?

According to the operating manual it should be the AE version of the GMK 1 (with additional Astro compass mode - celestrial navigation using triangulation of the sun).

The GMK-1A as fiited to the Mi-8 is a pure gyromagnetik compass system.

At least a very interesting system.

Best regards

I get this as well, 10 FPS. It's definitely the Yak. It's not consistent, but it happens on half of my flights.

The FPS issue seems to affect me at only two airports so far (of the 6 I've tested the Yak at). For it seems scenery related: same airport every time, and only when I get very close to the buildings/objects. One of these is a default airport, the other I made myself (using only standard Asobo scenery objects). Starting a flight at either of these airports also produces a frame drop and flying away from the airport the FPS doesn't seem to recover (at least not while my patience lasted).

I normally have around 40 FPS, then drops to 6-point-something or thereabouts.

Contacting Nemeth about this, as it makes the Yak pretty useless if you don't know if you can complete a flight.

I was really tempted to give this Yak a proper go, but after looking around Nemeth website and their so-called forum (Heli-simmer?) I've had to put the brakes on. Even tried joining the forum but could never log-in after signing up. I'll just stick with my lovable, reliable Piaggio

Stick with the Piaggio; it flies really well and your forward visibility is better anyway.

Just about 24 hours later and not a word of feedback from Nemeth. The more airports I visit the more I find the FPS issue rearing it's miserable head. Yak stays in the hangar until – if! – they address this issue. My recommendation: don't buy (yet).

I have flown YAK18T only once IRL, so I can't tell much. But folks who did on another forum saying other than ok visual model it's terrible!

FPS issue resolved with v1.0.1.

Yep I just tested very smooth frames!  This ones coming back out of the hangar!

I bought it. Another £16 I could have spent on wine. I really shouldn't take notice of what people I don't know say. Lesson learnt? Hard to say. 🙄

Does the yoke only have such little travel for real?

Nope. The real thing has a lot more than what is depicted on this sim version. You can see that on this aero video:
