July 11, 20214 yr Update: This fix is coming July 27th. Sorry for my impatience. Hello, So I have been looking forward to flying again, and when I finally had the time and chance to do it, disappointment was imminent. I have read in these forums that the narrow circle of trees was fixed in the latest update. That it was a problem that had something to do with proximity to the poles, at southern and northern latitudes. And that Asobo had fixed it. I loaded up at ENTO - Torp in Southern Norway, and headed west towards ENNO - Notodden. A short but scenic VFR flight in the Mooney. My settings are everything on Ultra - Glass Refresh at Medium, both LODs at 200, Scaling at 100 on 3440x1440. Performance was good all the way. But the tree line. It stops before the nose of the aircraft. I have to lean over to see it. It looks absolutely ridiculous. I was flying at 4500 feet. The tree line was not like this in the early days of the sim. Not even close. What on earth is going on? And how can they say that it is fixed? Right now this irks me so much I just want to give up on flight sim. This has been broken for months. VFR flying in GA aircraft is what I use the sim for. This wouldn't be a problem at 35,000 feet, but I don't fly airliners. I have no tree mods installed. I have the latest version of the sim and latest drivers. That's good to know. I'll have to be a bit more patient then. Should I delete my post? Maybe I should just update it. July 11, 20214 yr Maybe next time do some reading before the rant? Btw, the performance update is not yet out NEITHER... Geez... Greetings, Chris AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D, 2x32GB DDR5 6000MT/s RAM, MSI RTX 4090 Ventus 3X, Windows 11 Home, MSFS2024
July 11, 20214 yr "RANT" We should be glad when they (Asobo) fix this tree mess so the ones with Dendrophiiia syndrome will stop making multiple threads. "end RANT"

I read that they had identified and fixed it. The thing I didn't see was that it wouldn't be implemented until next update. I have not said anything about the performance update. I said the performance was good. Actually I commented on this as well some time back. Pretty disrespectful to "dump" on someone who took the time to report what they are seeing and identifying that it had supposedly been fixed....which I though as well until I got the recent, very recent Nordic update and found that this was not the case. May I suggest a softer approach in communication. And also I'm not going to sit through an hour long video of folks chatting like one posted above, and I'm not going to read endless detail about we have fixed this tiny issue or that. So yes it's possible for folks to not know that something is intended to be "fixed" and provide the detail on what they have observed and looking toward some information or answers. Which has resulted. My understanding now is that the tree distance issue it "about to be refixed" on the July 27 release or update for X-Box. Good because this is an annoying issue that needed to be fixed. Bryan Wallis aka "fltsimguy" Maple Bay, British Columbia Near CAM3

It really supports the practice I’ve adopted recently that you will have a much better game experience if you wait until a year after the initial launch before jumping in.
