July 27, 20214 yr Hi, I'm quite surprised and just curious if you are experiencing my results too. Since Sim Update 5, I am getting drawing distances I have never seen before since release. Notice how buildings are still being drawn even at 30000 feet, I am sure that was not the case in Sim Update 4. Is there anyone experiencing similar visual improvements with Sim Update 5? I am getting a lot more pop in when I pan the view, but it is really worth for the significantly higher drawing distance and performance. My terrain LOD and objects LOD are set to 200, Terrain Vector Data, Buildings and Trees to set to Ultra, as usual. It is the best update to MSFS so far, too bad that it is riddled with so many bugs. PC specs: i5-12400F, RTX 3070 Ti and 32 GB of RAM. July 28, 20214 yr Wow that looks so much better. Definitely did not see that before. This makes me more hopeful about SU5! July 28, 20214 yr No need for 400/400 on object and LOD terrain then! July 28, 20214 yr Read the official forum. You're trading off for culled scenery assets. Look straight head then pan left. You can see the scenery pop-in. Go back forward, scenery pop-in. I am perfectly happy with getting a lot more drawing distance and performance in expense of pop-ins. PC specs: i5-12400F, RTX 3070 Ti and 32 GB of RAM. Now MSFS intentionally adds in scenery pop-in as a "feature" and some are fine with it.
