So yes, at times people have exaggerated, but this isn't one of them. People are picking their favorite airport and plane and flying around and saying well I didn't have any problem. Your sample size is miniscule, and most of us can get it working if we completely restrict ourselves to doing certain things. As far as 500 addons, NO, you can cause CTD with default planes right now, you can cause CTD just by enabling the AI, you can cause CTD just by clicking in the wrong place in some cockpits in DEFAULT planes. It's just as much of an exaggeration when people say this update is like any other, no it's not, they redid more than any other update in history since the game has been released due to Xbox changes. You nailed, and exactly my findings. After my first flight post Hotfix with the A320NX went fine. EGPH-EGLL, Next flight CTD, Everything out of the Comm folder, CTD, default 787 stock livery, flight between two default airports... CTD! So even running nothing bar the basic game =, it now CTD@S just about every flight. I give up. I know, it's even worse with complicated airports, basic animations and effects causing CTD, almost all the payware developers having to patch things, disappearing jetways even after jetways fix (pending Asobo and more dev updates). It is unplayable with so many different issues popping up all the time. Time to move on to other hobbies. I am quite happy with the latest version, even as a VR user. July 31, 20214 yr They just need to issue another big patch in 2 - 4 weeks, but they have a BIG task ahead of them because they changed so much code all at once, the biggest yet. The list is long and still growing of people that find issues. LOL --- Hey do you think the guy that posted above me is quite happy? July 31, 20214 yr Just take a break from it, there are lots of fun things you can still do with your computer in the meantime Asobo solves the problems. I didn't play it online (tried it once), but just did the single player story, online is bah but some people like it. AMD 5800x | Nvidia 3080 (12gb) | 64gb ram

I understand your anger, but many people are loving it too, so it´s basically so-so frustration management at this point. How was the xbox release rushed with the sim on PC release was released was a year ago?

It didn't force them to rush things, it's just the way they did it. I cannot say why certain things were rushed, but they were behind on deadlines most likely and MS put pressure I guess. Yes, the PC game came out a year ago, but the software leads decided it would be best to make the Xbox and PC version share as much of the same code as possible (so it seems). There are variations in the code between the 2 code bases, just NOT enough variation. Edited July 31, 20214 yr by Alpine Scenery AMD 5800x | Nvidia 3080 (12gb) | 64gb ram

July 31, 20214 yr Still trying to understand the public statements against MSFS updates. There is always 2 great Flight Sims out there if you think MSFS was not working for you for a while. Los Asobos is an active Professional-development working company , and if they break things, they will fix them. Patience ! July 31, 20214 yr maybe im the minority , besides the crappy washed out colors, and the constantly in/out popping LOD , the sim is smooth as butter at 55+ FPS high/ultra @4k . No CTD here yet, although I flew about 1/2 hours only of this new update. The promises made havnt been kept but this sim is still miles better then xp11. Once we get a few decent addon A/C I wont say a thing. the FBW is pretty good although missing Vnav TOC/TOD etc.. I hope people are clearing the mods/addons before updating!! if you left something in the community folder during the upgrade then this probably has screwed something up. Just my 2 cents! peace 7900x3d , 64gb 6200mhz 30CL Ram, RTX 3080

Just my 2 cents! peace They should to be safe, but Asobo needs to ignore that directory on all updating processes. The problem is there is a lack of continuity and procedural adherence on their dev team, some of their developers have too much freedom to make their own decisions. I've seen it plenty of times, it could be partly the French culture of ABSOLUTE freedom at the workplace. Edited July 31, 20214 yr by Alpine Scenery AMD 5800x | Nvidia 3080 (12gb) | 64gb ram
July 31, 20214 yr With another WU coming relatively soon things might get interesting XD. I am looking forward to the "after SU5" Q&A from Asobo to really understand what happened. Edited July 31, 20214 yr by Aristoteles Iñigo Bildarratz
