Does it have an autopilot?

Nope.

But the real Husky if you buy it with that VFR cockpit option has no autopilot either.

I notice that they haven't turned off the ILS Glide slope indicator on the Aera despite the lack of NAV radios, so if you can tune NAV 1 with an external interface to the runway's ILS (or you fly into somewhere using the defaul NAV 1 frequency - 110.50) you'll see the Glide Slope indicated on the Synthetic Vision display.

But all in all it's a nice looking, cheap plane that's more fun to fly for me than the XCub and has better avionics than the Zlins - it's biggest problem is, as mentioned earlier, is that it's a another small tail wheel cub "clone" and frankly we're running out of places to stack those in the sim 😉

Favorite new plane - something about this variant that I cant put my finger on .

Nice little touch. The Window/door opens

Haha animated doors....feature in most default planes since FS2002.  It's hilarious they basically don't have those in the Uber visually detailed default aircraft, nearly 20 years later.

I just realized the Garmin has a forward facing camera.  Cool

No real interest in doors, they are a bit gimmicky really, I open them maybe once for one video and that is it.

The avionics are very nice. The right hand MFD has multiple pages including  a more detailed engine display you access from the lower LH grey button.

According to a husky owner we were talking to in multiplayer the stall is a bit generic MSFS. The real Husky is apparently one of those planes that just mushes in stall without power, rather than dropping a wing.  Not sure if that is a generic MSFS issue or Asobo are just making the stall drop a wing to avoid all the massive complaints on main forum about how it "stalls wrong" if you do not get the expected wing drop.

The only bug I find problematic is the differential brakes working backwards.  That one catches me out a lot.

Let’s file ticket to Asobo! Looks like Husky is in question

I sent a ticket.  Did you ever determine what was causing your crashes.  If you did, let me know so I can try.

Thanks,

Mike

I did send a ticked, but since I turned off multiplayer I haven't had CTD

Actually, with the door open in flight you get a bit better view from the cockpit and that's nice for spotting places to land. With regard to the stall/spin characteristics, as you say and as far as I'm aware the real thing just mushes along, but I can live with it dropping a win if you abuse it, because it makes it a bit more fun to fly.

Except you crash in the Husky opening the door unless you turn off damage.

True, but then again, there are quite a few aeroplanes in the sim where you kind of have to turn that off anyway to avoid over-zealous crash detection, so personally it's not a problem for me. For example, I got tired of the sim saying that the fully aerobatic Nemeth Yakovlev Yak 18T, which is stressed for +6.4 -3.2 at light weights and even +5 -2.5 at near MTOW, from saying I'd overstressed it when I even deigned to look at the joystick. 🤣

Most GA won't drop wing if you stall them while coordinated
