Tweak, tweak, tweak..

Featured Replies

I have tweaked my Nvidia game filters to get something that I find reasonable good. Except....

Except that I tweaked under a sunny weather. Today we have a solid overcast with some light rain on the Côte d'Azur and the terrain is too dark with my tweakings so I went back to a no-filter scenario, vanilla 5 😉 ! EDIT no vanilla 5, I made another filter after all 😁 !

This sim which was said to be the Sim Which Would End All TweakingsTM by the Adulators  is like any  other in the past. Endless tweakings but hey ! it's a flightsim, you can't go against your nature said the scorpio of the fable.

That was supposed to be over with MSFS, and one of the reasons I finally switched over from P3D 3 months ago, which was one single giant band-aid tweak (but great when it worked).

For transparency: I'm a community mentor at the BATC discord. However, I do not get paid for it in any way.

You couldn't tweak then but you would still need it  😁

I feel that we should not accept that. I just don't want to go back to the "old days", as I once said in a thread: I am tired of tweaking. I was so happy not even having to touch the cfg files since release of msfs. Back in the days I used to tweak more than I had flown. Please Asobo do everything in your might to bring us into the future and not back to the past!

So, I am using MSFS since beta and have not edited a single CFG file until now. Besides 3 AI-traffic related crashes after SU5, my experience has been pretty solid so far.

All in your life is tweaked. Your food, your home, your boyfriend or girlfriend. Even your mind do tricks every day for being better human. (or worse).

MSFS must be opened and its architecture has always been free.

Of someone comes into my life to say me what i have to do: i dont like it.

They tweak our product every month, and this last "update" is bad.

Even aerosoft has seen it.

But a new flight simulator is being created in Japan

Not for me. My only text file edits are related to add-on, liveries, etc. Unless there is some miraculous tweak like HIGHMEMFIX=1, I just won´t bother. The same was true for P3D by the way...

It still is in beta by the seem of it.

I feel the tweaking has finally settled down. Haven’t really needed to do anything except manage heat since SU5. I think we are close here. One or two more patches and i think this sim stabilizes, with excellent performance. Hang in there.
