NO NO NO NO. You have Gsync - turn that vsync OFF! Your system appears to handle 40 - 45 fps locked...leave it that way and quit turning on vsync. You have an expensive monitor with the best tech available to stop stutters and tearing, which means you don't need to bother with vsync anymore.

Lol so in NVIDIA it says let the application decide and then in MSFS I have VSYNC on and locked at 30....

In NVCP turn on Gsync for full-screen and windowed and set monitor technology to Gsync. Set your fps limit in NVCP - NOT in MSFS. Set vsync to anything but on in NVCP and in MSFS turn vsync off, fps unlimited.

Thanks! Should I set unlimited? Or lock them at 45fps? I can handles 45fps and it gives my GPU some breathing room. Thoughts?

Lock at 40 or 45. You just want a bit of headroom for demanding situations - but make sure you lock in NVIDIA, NOT in MSFS.

The excruciating stutters when panning are a sim shortcoming introduced in SU5, and are not caused by your settings.

G-Sync and Vsync should both be on.

External Storage Three 4Tb HDs

I tried this guide, but honestly, my results do vary: I always got better results by leaving VSYNC off in NVCP, dont ask me why...

The way who asobo did their vsync locking it in the sim is the best way to achieve tthe best results

Seems like it actually makes a big difference. LOD of 5

What’s LOD and how you increase it

With a gysnc monitor locking the fps is nvidia a no no

do not lock your fps in nvidia. Thats why the bar was red and your gpu only being used 45%. The sim is gpu bound so it should be working 100% of the time. When your gpu is working less, thats when you have problems. The way I told you how to do it is the correct way with a gsync monitor. If you notice now your are in the green and it should stay green even if the fps goes down. Thats the beauty of the gsync monitor and shows that its working

yes that. Here is a video with vsync on locked at 30. Smooth and no stutterring moving around with the xbox controller

And what is your vertical sync set to in NVIDIA? Let 3d application decide or off?

And what is your LOD?

I have both LOD at 200. Vsync set in game set to 30 locked. In nvidia I have the same settings I told you to change.

Thanks! The only difference I see is that you have Low Latency Mode set to Ultra and mine is set to OFF. Not sure I understand this setting.

Also with your LOD settings, do you get blurries? Is the terrain sharp?
