Ok, I want to learn and fly the airbus but at the same time

im not looking for PMDG but I’m not looking for default either.

what do you recommend? I’m not new to flight simming. I’ve been in the hobby for 36 years. I remember the first sim version was for IBM compatible pc’s and it had those flat mountains in the WWI shooter game that came with it - weren’t those the days. I’ve been Out of computer for about a year. My old computer gave out one month before flight simulator 2020 was released.
i usually do bush/charter ops but for the first time in years I’ll have the hardware to fly to big cities in big iron. So here is my chance. I don’t want something so complicated that I have to dedicate my life to it.

is there a good modded A320 or ? That you all could recommend?

Hi, I normally don't reply like this, but honestly, this must be a troll?  I say this as there is only one real answer here and it has been the hottest topic on these and many forums since this sim released.  If you have at all been on this forum, then you must have come across many of the hundreds of comments concerning this mod.

FBW A320NX is what your looking for at present. Here It's becoming a really accomplished aircraft, download the installer, pick the version you want and off you go.

I’m also new to the  flybywire a320 and I am enjoying it so far and it’s superb.

still learning it , watching YouTube videos from a real a320 pilot.

I have been on AVSIM for many years....albeit with a 5 years break until early 2020.  Brian has been around for many years (look at his post count).  I've seen his posts for many years and he does not deserve to be called a troll, merely for asking for a recommendation.

Did you consider that perhaps he has only just come into the MSFS forum section here at AVSIM?  It's really quite plausible that he hadn't heard of the A32X until this point.

My sincere apologies.  Was not directed at him, more so at the actual posting.  I just caught me off guard as I just completed reading the third post concerning the FBW product, on the first page alone.  Again, I apologize as I too started simming even  a few years before him.

FBW A320N mod is the best available now, keep an eye on the Fenix A320 coming soon.

Does the A320NX work well enough w/ a yoke, versus a flightstick?  I'm only familiar w/ PMDG Boeing but might be nice to try Airbus.  

Well, I use the TS16000 for simming. Never owned a yoke, but I really would like to, specially when playing with ELITE's fleet of GAs, or Aerowinx PSX... In  AEROWINX  I am sure using a yoke would really make a difference ...

The FBW A320 N is a true charm to handfly. The approaches under tricky weather are a MUST !

Together with the Superb PMDG dc-6, they're my preferred aircraft in MFS, closely followed by the default c172 🙂

I use my hc yoke with the FBW A320 and it flies pretty good, good enough where I now hand fly all my dep and arrivals. I also have a flightstick but I haven't used it since I got the yoke 

For the 35 years of my simming hobby I’ve used a yoke very little.

I use the old Logitech 3d pro. It’s got the perfect amount of buttons and hat switch that I map to my views - very important when flying a pattern.

ive had my fling with the PMDG 737 back in the FSX days, but the airbus would be more realistic-ish with a joystick.

As the others have already said, the A320NX is no doubt the the best Airbus you can get for MSFS at the moment. It‘s more complex and better looking than the default A320 but it‘s not PMDG-level (yet). Before MSFS was released I had taken a 3 years break from simming so I had to relearn the basics and this mod was great for it. It’s still unfinished and gets updated regularly which actually turned out to be a good thing for me personally. That way I could focus on one or two new features at a time which is less daunting than having all at once. Now I think I‘m ready for the upcoming Fenix.

Absolutely fine with my Fulcrum One yoke. I've got the Thrustmaster Airbus pack but I quite often use the yoke instead.

How is it performance-wise say compared to something like the Citation Longitude?
