Yes, I have also been beta testing v2 for the past week or two and can say that I see no performance issues whatsoever with the new version and the ships look absolutely beautiful. This addon was a must for me back in FSX/P3D and is a definitie must in MSFS as well! It looks incredible in the new sim. You guys will get to enjoy it really soon! And a big thanks to Henrik and his team for making this!

and I thought with MSFS I had purchased a Flightsimulator, now it turns into MSSS. I am very thankful for all your hard work, I appreciate your great gift that enriches the simulator yet again for all of us!

Just to clarify,  I didn't lift any of the load.   All I did was fly around and check out the beautiful new ships for the past week.  😁

And if you really want to laugh,   a few weeks ago Henrik was approached by someone who wanted to acquire from Henrik some of his new models.    Henrik was gracious enough to say yes,  and the following mod is the result.

Hmmm.   /Needs video of Henrik's ships,  from one of Henrik's ships.

Hard to understand a major release without smoke or wakes?  Who's in a rush?  I'll happily keep using v1 until that time.  Thx to all involved in this endeavor.

Intel i9-12900KF, Asus Prime Z690-A MB, 64GB DDR5 6000 RAM, (3) SK hynix M.2 SSD (2TB ea.), 16TB Seagate HDD, Gigabyte GeForce 5080 RTX, Corsair iCUE H70i AIO Liquid Cooler, UHD/Blu-ray Player/Burner (still have lots of CDs, DVDs!)  Windows 10, (hold off for now on Win11),  EVGA 1300W PSU
Netgear 1Gbps modem & router, (3) 27" 1440 wrap-around displays
Full array of Bravo, Saitek and GoFlight hardware for the cockpit. Varjo and HP VR headsets for mixed reality.

I have that mod and it is awesome! I hope it will be updated so that it uses Henrik's MSFS native format ships. Sailing the coastal areas and oceans is so relaxing with that addon!

v1 doesn't have wakes or smoke either I believe. So why not use v2? You have nothing to lose from it. It uses native MSFS format for the models which will improve your performance since it doesn't have to do any conversion in the sim.

Version 1 ran ok on my system,  but it lagged for many people.   Like I stated,  when MSFS loads a legacy mod it creates a "CVT" folder in your community folder.    As each legacy model loads into the sim for the first time,   some of the texture files were converted by MSFS 2020 in real time.   Not an issue when it's a handful of ships or when your system is capable,  but when you have 1400+ different vessels and people have marginal systems,  it can become a nightmare for them.    Frankly,  I'm glad about Henrik's intentions.

Even on my powerful system it caused a lot of stuttering with v1. But with v2 that is issue is non-existent.

Just to make sure I'm not doing something wrong, there are two pictures of the Staten Island Ferry in this thread, but I'm not able to find any in the actual Sim. Is this something that's coming later, or is it possible I'm missing a setting?

Right now I have sea traffic set at 6.
