And to stay in the main topic, I published version 3.0.1 with bug fixes, updated entrance textures and new rooftop access on the terminal.

It’s a rainy Sunday today… but last week, I was lucky enough to fly into Le Touquet in a DR400. I took the opportunity to snap a few reference photos, which I’ve now implemented into the latest versio

Close, but not aim for the same purpose at all. It's all depend on what type of aviation you're flying.

This is such a good addon. Thank you. Fond memories of trips to this airport.

I re-up this thread as I just published a season update to celebrate winter season. Since January the scenery has also been updated with several fix for those still flying here.

It's the same product... oups freeware updated and improved quite regularly. I released the first version end of January 2021 😉 For the record, it took me ages to learn Blender, as a totally begging. I delivered basic objects (tower, main terminal) months after the first released of the scenery as a normal upgrade. Now, in 2023, I would have done totally differently (in term of Blender's design) and I'm scared to open the Blender project to discover horrible things ;))))

New version of Le Touquet (LFAT) is now available. The real airport has been officially renamed “Le Touquet - Elizabeth II International Airport”. New signs and letters (on roof of the terminal) has been set. As much as in real life!

Hey that's great thanks! I live near Biggin Hill and have an addon there and always wanted a strip just over the channel for quick GA round trips. This is perfect.

Thanks a lot to follow up the evolution of the real one!

Do you know the reason to rename it this way?

According to Vanity Fair (via Wikipedia):

Quote

In August 2023, the airport was named after Queen Elizabeth II, which her son, Charles III, approved. By this gesture, the mayor's office wanted to "pay tribute to the Great Queen and her uncle [Edward VIII] who was in love with France and to recognize the most British of the French resorts".
